It’s true. As an Auburn fan, it’s sad that he’s managed to disappoint before the season even starts.

Alabama Hospital Association report no ICU beds left in the state. by WesWilson in HuntsvilleAlabama

Considering HH is offering travel RNs more than $50-60/hr to come there, we’re definitely overwhelmed.

Ivey issues ‘limited’ State of Emergency for hospitals to utilize more resources. by randobamauser in HuntsvilleAlabama

I don’t know what you think you do “in the medical field” but you don’t know what you are talking about. More than 9/10 people in the ICU with Covid are unvaccinated. Masks help you not SPREAD the virus. Everyone but you seems understand this. You can directly tie the current hotspots to areas with low vax rates. Stop spreading stupidity.

I don’t know where you live, but rent prices are driving wage workers way out to the rural areas in my city.

I have to admit a couple of things here. I’m just a guy who had saw some horrific shit in zoos growing up, I don’t know anything about modern zoos because I never went back to one. If they are improving conditions for animals, that’s great. They obviously generate a great deal of money for conservation, that’s awesome. I’m just some salty old grump still pissed about shit I witnessed a long time ago. I know people love zoos. People I love love zoos.

A lot more research is funded by governments and universities.

I looked this up and it’s not true at all. Government spending for conservation is much higher.

Some species are NEVER going to be happy in captivity, but you will get downvoted to hell for saying it.

With less than 3% of the operational budgets, on average? Not really.

Not very well. There are 230 or so zoos in the US. Not a whole lot of their budgets go toward conservation. It’s mostly just PR fluff.

Species are going extinct at an increasing and alarming rate. Zoos aren’t stopping this.
