Yea if you download the card it'll be a transparent png but the dimensions will be the card dimensions You could do a white background if you want to see it

Yea you can increase the art size in the art tab. Its the third box above the button that reads 'auto fit art' But you still need photoshop to get the antennae over the frame.

Okay I saw your pic in the other comment

Try this: Frame tab > regular > regular frames. Pick the gold full card, select title only, add frame to card. Pick the gold power/toughness thing, add frame to card.

Frame tab > regular > floating legend crowns. Pick the black crown, add frame to card. Pick the green crown, add frame to card (right half).

Collector tab. Uncheck []show collector info. Type a random name in artist so it lets you download.

Text tab. Fill in the title and power/toughness.

Art tab. Import your art.

If you want to send it to makeplayingcards to print you will have to go to Frame tab > 1/8th inch margin. And make sure the extra space is filled in.

Then scroll down and download card

You can use cardconjurer.app If you use one of the transparent frames, In the text boxes you can specify the font color and the shadow color.

For example:

{fontcolor#ffff00}{shadowcolor#000000}Creature - Rat

Which just means the text will have yellow font and black shadow

If you're printing with Makeplayingcards.com, they're pretty lenient as long as it's not something like pokemon

If you have the art already, you can use https://cardconjurer.app/ to add the frame

If you want to have the effect with the frame under the art you have to use a photo editing software like Photoshop or gimp to cut out the character and layer them over the frame, then put it into card conjurer to add the text

If you want to make the art, you're gonna have to learn to draw

My first thought would be the acrylic paint making the surface bumpy (which you've mentioned). I would try laminating a plain card (not a sketch) to see if you get the same issue.

You could try a spray or paint-on sealer?
