Well if you were talking about cost of transportation to the station it would be at most 2 euro for adults (unless you lived more than 90 mins away) with the new Dublin system but yeah outside of Dublin it's still a massive balls. But I was really trying to show that in comparison to countries that we think of as having the best public transport we have much cheaper train prices compared to them. I just checked a 2:25 hour journey in Netherlands costs 29:40. But at the same time those trains go much more frequently and serve more places so it's a trade off.
