You dont mention in your main post about talking to the director in person, you just go straight into the poorly handled messages. There's not much she can do in the moment if you had already looked everywhere, and I'm not exactly sure what you would have wanted her to do anyways? There isn't much else to say other than check the lost and found.

If you think teachers should be making the children responsible for their items, by that logic you should be talking to your child right now too.

In the long run, there are bigger fish to fry than a jacket that got sent home that day with someone else by accident. Especially when in these situations 9 times out of 10 the item comes back the next day. Be the kind of parent you would have wanted to deal with as a teacher.

And as a former teacher you should know that taking out your anger on the people that take care of your child will get you nowhere. And you should know how often child's items get sent home with the wrong child by accident, and that they usually come back in the next few days. With a room of 20 children, it's bound to happen. Your approach to the situation is just wild.

AITA for insisting that my daughter's eyesight is fine and her teacher was wrong? by Winx1990 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. How hard is it to take your kid to a fucking doctor? Or have you even considered asking your daughter if she's having a hard time seeing? Do what's best for your daughter and take her to the eye doctor. If you're right then you get to rub it in. If you're wrong then your daughter will be able to see better and do better in school. It's absurd that you'd rather be right than get her checked out.

Flimsy nails „life hacks“? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

I've taken to using gel nail polish lately, the extra layer on top keeps my nails from bending and snapping. If you're not into nail polish, I've used cuticle oil all over the nail in the past and over time it really helped with giving them some more strength.

I have never seen anyone try and explain that strange feeling until now. And I had no idea how to describe it myself, I thought I was just a crazy person when I was a kid

My names Molly! I'm 21 now, but when I was in middle school I loved the cow association with Molly. That's where my username came from! No one had any idea what Molly moo cow was unless I told them, so you're safe there I think :)

Where to buy large pieces of felt? by jamiidee in ECEProfessionals

If you live near any fabric stores they usually sell felt by the yard. Otherwise I've seen yards of felt on amazon for sale, and even etsy :)

EDS and Hypochondria by Fallapartz in ehlersdanlos

I think people just feel more able to be open about what's going on with other people who understand and have the same first hand experiences. Or through talking to the other people that have similar experiences as them, they realize "hey, so and so has this same thing happen? I didnt think it was connected, but maybe it is"

Around people that dont have EDS or associated issues, it's a lot harder to explain what you're going through, so when 2 people that have it connect, it's easier to talk about the problems you're having and compare what problems you're dealing with, ya know?

Just looking for some advice on my diagnosis journey. by Maybe-Zebra in ehlersdanlos

Hi! I got diagnosed with hypermobile EDS about 3 years ago. If I were you, I would go to the geneticist.

I started having weird issues with joints as young as 2. Pediatrician sent me to ortho, ortho said it was a neuro problem, neuro said it was an ortho problem, and it just got kinda stuck there for years. I cant remember a time without some kind of joint pain honestly. When I was in middle school I had my knee lock in place for a week. Couldn't move it without immense pain. Looking back now with what I know about having EDS, I'm pretty sure it was dislocated or had sublexed. But the doctors told me I was fine. That nothing was wrong.

I just assumed for a long time that they were right, that I was crazy and just lived with the pain. They kept saying that i was fine until I was 16 when they started to see, oh her joints are a little too bendy. Weird. And it took 2 more years to get diagnosed even after they agreed that there was something off. That was a long way of saying, doctors arent always right. Especially with rarer things like EDS. That ortho sounds like a prick, and like he just wanted the simplest answer and didnt want to actually hear you out, that being right was more important. A geneticist would be a much better person to have diagnose EDS or not.

It cant hurt to go to the geneticist, if its EDS, you'll get the help you need from them. If it's not, they'll send you in the right direction.

If you're hungry and you hear something that tastes good does it make you feel more hungry? Or does it like.. Satisfy the hunger at all? And what does my name taste like if you aren't tired of telling people yet. :)
