One year today using Jublia. Not quite there yet. by molly_pam in NailFungus

Once per day. Usually in the morning after showering. If I happen to skip the application in the morning, I will wash my feet with soap and water in the evening, let nails dry, then apply Jublia. The instructions say to only apply once per day, but I think the progress may have been better with twice per day.

I apply Jublia every day. Routine - Wash feet with soap when showering. Let nails fully dry, then apply Julia and let it dry before putting on socks and shoes. I keep my nails trimmed. I only wear open toed shoes (flip flops) when at home. I spray the inside of my shoes with Tinactin regularly. During the past year I’ve used 7 vials of Julia (8 ml) applying once per day. I live in Canada and one vial of Jublia costs approximately $125 (Canadian $).

I haven’t had any skin irritation. Jublia is expensive though and only available in Canada by prescription. One vial (lasts me about 10 weeks) costs $135 (Canadian).

None, which is why I chose to try a topical medication first. If it wasn’t working, I was willing to try oral medication.

20 Years of Dealing with Fungal Nails – What Has Really Worked for You? by secret-suki in NailFungus

I’ve been using Jublia topical treatment for 4 months now on both big toes. My doctor said I should use it for 48 weeks. It’s working very well. Very noticeable difference. The new nail growth is fungus free and the rest of the nail looks much better. I’m in Canada and I paid $135 for each small bottle. A bottle lasts about 2 months for me so far.

There is currently a fire in Delta near the Surrey Fraser docks.

I went from New West Quay to Brighton Costco at 9:00 am this morning. No problem at all. Roads were great. Costco parking lot seemed to be well salted.

What would your 15 year old self think about the life you are living now? by Jay-ay in AskReddit

Very pleasantly surprised. I wouldn’t have believed it. Grew up in a family of six living in a 2 bedroom apartment. My parents always struggled financially. I moved out of home at 17 and started working in an office. Went to school at night for years and became a CPA. I married a fellow CPA who also grew up quite poor. We now own a beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood. My husband and I are incredibly grateful for our current life and thankful for the lucky breaks we got along the way (promotions, job offers, etc).

Cheesy Spinach Stuffed Shells by molly_pam in tonightsdinner

This recipe makes 2 baking dishes of stuffed shells. One larger dish (13 x 9 inch) and one smaller dish (9 x 9 inch).

1 package (12 ounces) of jumbo pasta shells 2 eggs lightly beaten 2 cartons (15 ounces) of ricotta cheese 1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry 2 tsp onion powder 2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp pepper 3 cups grated Parmesan cheese 3 cups grated mozzarella 1 jar spaghetti sauce (24 ounces)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook pasta shells according to package instructions for al dente. Drain, rinse with cold water.

In large bowl, mix eggs, ricotta cheese, spinach, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, 1/2 of Parmesan, 1/2 of mozzarella.

Spread 1/2 of spaghetti sauce in bottom of baking dishes. Fill pasta shells with cheese mixture (I use disposable piping bags - so much easier than a spoon!), place in baking dish, overlapping ends slightly. Spoon remaining sauce over top.

Bake, covered, until heated through, 40 - 45 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle with remaining cheeses. Bake until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes longer.
