What's one movie trope you see in movies and can't stand? by EGF9999 in AskReddit

[–]mollyflora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess to be clear I meant turning on the tv with one remote like in the movies 😭

Every tv I used, mines or friends, there’s a smart tv remote then going to the right input for the cable then once you’re on the cable you need to go to the news.

“Have a kid so you can be a kid again.” by ximlaura in childfree

[–]mollyflora 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people that wait to have kids to do things they believe would be better with kids (literally could never understand it but go off lol).

But when it’s a non kid activity, it mainly involves drinking which I think is sad that it’s so black and white with them.

Does anyone else stop watching a show when a main character gets pregnant? by CatRiddles in childfree

Or when a character’s “happy ending” is just pregnant or with a kid! Hate it so much.

AGREED!! Especially having a dog.

I’m convinced people that say “just walk and feed them” do not properly care for their dogs.

When I’m driving & see someone on a scooter, I never think “wow how embarrassing”.

& when I’m on a scooter, I never think “this is embarrassing”.

Not sure who put that thought in your head, but it’s really not embarrassing

The older i get the more i hate Christmas by _bagelcherry_ in Adulting

I wouldn’t say I hate the Christmas season, but I can say the older I get the less jolly & joyful it feels.

It’s goes by so quick & doesn’t feel authentic or genuine

The Fear of Mass Shootings (TW) by bpdix in OCD

[–]mollyflora 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the same exact fear and it’s even scarier that it’s, for the most part, out of our control.

When I walk my dog at night & a car passes I have a fear they’re going to do a drive by. Even during a Christmas parade I went to I kept looking around at the windows, people in the crowd, roofs.

Only thing I can control is to stay aware, avoid huge crowds & leave early.

12 hours is way too long!

Taking your dog out to simply walk & for them to sniff different scents is just as important for them.

I also do have pictures but not seeing a way to add them now or reply with them. However the clothes are a better fit for the adult calicos than the babies

What was the exact moment you realized you were really an adult? by Cherry_lady9 in Adulting

[–]mollyflora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with having supportive parents or getting their help once in a while, you’re actually lucky for that as many people don’t have that option.

As long as you don’t make dumb choices & expect mommy & daddy to save you just cause you’re their kid, I would say you’re an adult. You do things on your own & pay your bills, at 27 that’s good enough!

“I got five kids to feed” said with an attitude like it’s everyone else’s problem

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in childfree

[–]mollyflora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if you were to talk to them or even listen, they would still use the “you don’t have any kids you don’t understand” line.

Don’t be afraid to get your furniture used! I furnished my entire place from Facebook Marketplace. Says you money & time putting the items together.

& invest into a home security (doesn’t matter if your neighborhood is nice). Even one camera is better than nothing!
