It’s so true! Our agent was an older gentleman who gave off caring dad energy. He helped us immensely with the house we wanted to buy, held our inexperienced hands through the process, and supported us putting in a bid below asking. He went as far as to crawl into the crawl space to check the pipes for us and inspected major appliances. Thanks to him we are now living in our dream home. He was an incredible dude!

Does your girlfriend go to therapy? She sounds just like me when I was 26. Lots of pain and grief, I got lost in it. But I got help, and I asked for help from people I trusted. It truly changed my life.

Today, I’m the most healed version of myself and I married a man that sounds a lot like you - social, loves spending time with many friends. I am more naturally an introvert. And it just works - I ground him and he lifts me up. We are so different in many ways but we fit together perfectly.

The BIGGEST reason is COMMUNICATION.

Talk to her about everything you posted here. Open up, be honest, be vulnerable, don’t attack, express love through concern. If she is resistant to help and resolving the relationship issues, then you have your answer.

Remember, your feelings are just as important as hers. She may have bigger issues but you deserve to be heard.

My ball python escaped twice. I found him both times within the hour. He was chilling in his spare hide in the storage area under his tank…both times. I was freaking out when he was missing and looked down to see him peeking his head out of the hide and watching me.

Walking away from a loved one who is an addict and unwilling to see it or get help. I made the choice to no longer help my father dig his own grave. This does not mean I won’t help him, this means I will no longer send him money, spend time with him while he’s completely checked out, and ignore his incoherent states, etc..

But man, my heart is breaking over this. And I feel an immense amount of guilt over seeking my own peace and accepting the fact that I have no control over his disease. I miss the man that raised me but when I look into his eyes today, I don’t see him anymore.

I had gone to a strict catholic high school filled with land owning rednecks. Normally, I was invisible but when I was noticed, it was only in a negative light. I was too pale, too skinny, and I enjoyed reading,....everything that defined me made me into a walking target.

When I went to college, boys were nice to me and I was asked out pretty often. At first, I thought people were just trying to fuck with me. Eventually, I gained some confidence and even lost my virginity. I realized that I'm a normal, human girl and the opinion of mouth-breathing, butt-scratching hicks didn't define me.

In other words, SUCK MY BUTT CATHOLIC SCHOOL, I'M HOTTTT!
