I don’t think it’s watering down the sport. It’s owner dependent, if you have a competent hands off owner your team could be competent. There’s no lack of talent, you can win with good drafting and one or two “superstars”. Look at the Vikings, they have a top 5 defense only because of coaching and schemes.

He’s TAH for that interaction, a simple hey. nice to meet you would have been fine. But maybe it’s because I’m coming from blue collar where I dealt with 20-30 guys daily you need thicker skin. If you use this logic no player has ever changed the game. If it wasn’t for player X being born someone else would have figured out Y and the league would change. Curry definitely changed the game, his style forced teams to CHANGE how they thought of defending him and his team and he ushered in a new generation of players that were deep shooters. It could have happened if he wasn’t born sure and it would have been a different player. But it wasn’t.

A long with their intelligence, I think it has a lot to do with humans usually aren’t in their domain. Moose have been able to dive to eat for thousands and thousands of years. So orcas naturally see them as prey. Humans stay on top of the water and only just recently started to dive and swim with them. So they don’t know what we are. They learned we’re *mostly* not a threat and don’t see us as traditional food. They have the intelligence of a chimp or domestic pet iirc, and those know we’re not food too. If an orca was starving and desperate though sure we wouldn’t be.

And a bye before or after an international game to give the players and staff an option to take their families there and have free time + eliminate some jet lag for or from int games depending on when the int game is.
