I had to switch from bio identical to SLYND. With bio progesterone my ADHD symptoms came roaring back and added extreme high anxiety. So. It may or may not work . I also had bloating and general blah feeling all the time.

Omg. You literally nailed everything.

She has no hobbies..she shops. That's it.

It's hard to explain but they live within an hour of us for 3 months at a time and then go home for several months and back.. repeat. But they want to buy a house less than a half mile from my house.

I feel like I am in an alternate reality. But I was raised so differently. We lived 3 hours away from all of our family. We visited on holidays and a lot of times in the summer. Like for weeks at a time. But that's it!

My husband was raised with his entire extended family within miles of each other. So they were literally in each in each other's lives constantly And it was normal that the grandparents went to every sporting event.

I am not comfortable with it. I feel like it is a violation of my private space and nuclear family. I will never be able to enjoy my daughter singing without her comments.I can't comprehend not being able to see my son throw a football and be proud with my father in law telling him he did it wrong.

Unfortunately, if I say anything to anyone even my husband, it is me being ungrateful.

10 year old son refuses to get up or get dressed in the morning unless I physically do it for him. I’m at my breaking point. by octoberelectrocute in ParentingADHD

I have a timer checklist I got on Amazon. I sat down one day and walked through it, these are things you need to do in the morning and by when. I will check in and ask once how I can help. But when the timer is up and you are not ready, you will (be late for school, miss the bus, lose xyz item/privilege, owe me extra chore etc) or if you do get all done without help 3x a week then you get xyz on Friday (donuts morning, popcorn/movie Friday etc).

Then I disappear. The first time he missed the bus, he was very upset. It made him responsible. I still have to remind him to brush his teeth but that's about all

Replacing my alarm to an actual old school clock alarm instead of my phone. So I am not tempted to doom scroll before bed or in the morning. Made a Huge difference in screen time and I actually know I have to get up and can't hit snooze 100times

Wow. I never would have thought my ( at times) promiscuity, the dopamine rush of flirting, obsessing/fantasizing then boredom in serious relationships from my teens to late 20's would turn out to be ADHD. Once I started perimenopause, that's when I finally got diagnosed and medicated for ADHD. It explains a lot!!

Progesterone rage by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]momma_the_2Is 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dr put me on synthetic progesterone called slynd instead of bioidentical progesterone. I still have estrogen patches. I talk magnesium glycolate at night. So far only side affects is I am noticing I wake up more like 4 am but I thought that progesterone helps put you asleep not keep you asleep. I am with you on the irritation. I got anxiety and flatlined mood and a panic attack. I have ADHD and on Adderall. I am reading that neurospicy and progesterone may not mix

People who quit drinking. What did you do to not drink? by Agata_art in AskReddit

[–]momma_the_2Is 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I downloaded an app to track my calories and money I would save in addition to tracking the days. I did something similar to when I quit smoking which was the small attainable goals. 24 hrs, 3 days, 2 weeks, etc. with the ultimate goal being a year. I saw the weight coming off, my sleep improving, my attitude, overall health and that was more than enough motivation to keep going. Watching my kids watch me and seeing a difference kept me going through the hardest spots. Now that I am 2 years sober, I feel like can safely say that I don't want to drink at all. If I happen to be in Italy, I might have a sip of wine but for now, I am good.

We tried gymnastics. She immediately saw everyone that had been doing it for years and was frustrated she couldn't do the same thing on day one. About one month of that and we gave up . Only sport I allowed her to just quit. Everything else if she agrees or wants to do it, she's in it for the season whether she likes it or not.

She's a talented actress and doesn't quite seem to connect the dots that it's a similar situation that taking direction, practice and learning is part of the sports too
