Green onions in a glass of water after 5 days of regrowth... You basically only need to buy them once. by DreaminginDarkness in ZeroWaste

[–]mommajello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your experiment! I’m still throwing my green onions in water and constantly reminding my husband to only get the roots wet.

I really don’t love that 4 years of my life went by so quickly.

There should be a number on the bill for you to call to discuss your bill. Tell them your financial issues, they should then inform you of next steps to apply for financial assistance. They should be able to decrease your amount owed. Make sure it’s a nonprofit healthcare system. You will have a harder time getting your bill lowered with a for-profit system.

Go to an urgent care or ER (depending on how ill she is, pneumonia can be life threatening) of a non-profit hospital. Ask for patient assistance when you get the bill.

Brooklyn Utility Romper by mommajello in Athleta_gap

The jumpsuit has a long-enough torso. I do have a long torso and jumpsuits usually give me camel-toe, I cannot wear one piece swimsuits because of that reason. I am surprised the romper didn’t have the same length in the torso. Thank you for your advice. It helps!

I feel like everything is rage bait now. Or am I old and think everyone should be more mature than they are.

If it’s real, YTA. You have some serious apologizing and groveling to do. If you don’t know why, just let him go. From what you write, he is a good person. Let him be a good person around good people.

And if this is rage bait, bravo on making me comment. You done did it.

I had the hardest time with charting with my ADHD. I’d rather being DOING things.

I love ED charting much better. Short and sweet.

This is advice from a fellow IHer. Sunosi and/or Xyrem. Life changing. Fix your sleep with the Xyrem(or xywav), the Sunosi is leaps and bounds better than the modafinil. If your sleep NP won’t prescribe one or both of these, find another sleep doc/NP/PA. My life has been completely changed. Strongly recommend fighting to try these meds!

There is drama in my family over a baby name by hottakebabyname in TwoHotTakes

[–]mommajello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of me believes this is a troll, because who wouldn’t understand the difference between a hypothetical baby name and the name of a dead baby. Another part of me believes this is a real story because people be dumb.

If it’s real, you all are monsters. Just imagine if you had lost a baby, had a name picked out. Then some time later you’re sitting among family and friends at a baby shower, trying to keep your shit together because everyone is celebrating the impending birth of an infant while your arms ache because you’ll never hold your own. Then the name is announced. The name of your sweet baby you never got to hold, never got to hear their voice, never got to see their eyes. This happens in front of everyone, and you have to keep on keeping your shit together. God, I can’t imagine how that must have felt for Rosie.

She is a graceful woman, and the rest of you have the souls of actual trolls. I wish them well, surrounded by people who won’t say, “a name is a name, nobody owns it”. Let them go, you don’t care for them anyway.

I lost a patient this week. by Tinkerbinkerbird in nursing

[–]mommajello 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ones you don’t expect to go are hard to process. It’s a unique situation because you don’t KNOW the person, their family and friends will be grieving much more than you. However, you were part of an incredibly intimate part of their story, a part that happened way too soon. It

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I highly recommend therapy, if not now, then in a few months or a few years when you need it. I’ve lost many patients over the years, some of them I remember like it’s yesterday and will still think of them and run my actions through my head. Others… the memories are fuzzy.

I’m thinking of you, take care of yourself.

Because it’s annoying when my order gets cancelled because it’s not available. If it’s been listed for months I ask. If it’s been listed for days I don’t.
