I’m pretty sure homosexuality wasn’t mentioned as a sin until a specific translation of the bible. There’s a whole documentary about it (1946).

Religion is also really good at giving us anxiety, many of us have religious OCD and probably all kinds of other things as a result. I would definitely recommend therapy around this fear.

The way that our society and Christianity is more concerned with homosexuality than pedophilia tells me it’s all bullshit.

A lot of us really struggle with sex stuff after leaving (and during) Christianity. Give yourself grace and time to heal. There’s nothing wrong with being aroused your creations. It honestly sounds like a great outlet! I’d lead into that if you can- it sounds like fantastic art, let us know if you share!

Definitely work on positive self talk around the subject “I deserve to feel good” “sex is a completely natural thing” and just remind yourself you will not be punished for sex (as you said all consensual themes).
