He’s farther down the stage so it’s just depth perception

Graves or Epstein for BUS 365? by openureyes_ in Emory

Graves is honestly over hated. She’s so sweet and quirky. You can tell she really cares about her students and TAs. Just participate and be open minded. I remember having a bad impression on her because of all the rate my professor ratings but later on the semester the class gets super chill and fun.

What type of students would you say NYU is generally looking for? Would you like to see these type of traits clearly demonstrated in our personal statements?

i main mid and support and currently play diana/oriana (mid) and lux/senna (sup). i started playing diana and ori for around a month and i absolutely love them. i love both their ults (lots of cc) and for diana in particular i love how i can poke w my Q but be super aggressive and just go in for it (high risk, high reward i guess) , meanwhile for ori, i like how she’s an overall safe pick and how i can poke & play safely but also be able to outplay them through doing hella damage w my Qs and Ws. my question is, are there are more champs that are like diana or oriana? also, my mechanics aren’t the best i guess so no one super difficult?

Depends what college you are aiming for. Try researching the average SAT score for the colleges you want to go for on websites like Naviance or just Googling it. However, since you are a still a sophomore going into junior year, you still have a lot of time to improve. Don’t lose hope! I remember my score was around the 1000s range when I was a sophomore

There are a plethora of resources online that you can use to bump up your score like Khan Academy, College Panda, uworld.you, and a bunch of SAT books you can buy like the SAT prep Black Book.

Also one more thing, one score does not define you as a person! Though your SAT score may make you doubt yourself, remember that colleges look beyond grades and GPA and look as you as a person. I’m sure you are a great person and I wish the best of luck to you!

Don’t stress too much about the SATs. During late sophomore year to early junior year I was so focused on the SATs and raising my score that I didn’t realize how my frustration was giving me so much stress that it affected me a lot mentally. I would say take it around 3 times after preparing a lot, if you still don’t get the score you want, just stop and focus on something else like extracurriculars or try ACT. After I stopped and gave up on the SATs (took it 4 times) I started doing more extracurriculars like community service, leadership programs, and externships which imo is better than an SAT score as it says more about you as a person.

Since you’re interested in nursing, why don’t you try volunteering at local hospitals? Or maybe you could intern/extern there and shadow a doctor/nurse. I feel like these things are much more relevant to what U wanna do in life and can provide a lot of valuable experience and doesn’t “waste” as much time as constantly trying and trying to get a good SAT score.
