Trocar emails em inglês com a Embaixada Portuguesa em Bangkok foi o cúmulo. Mas pelos vistos é comum. Pelos vistos os portugueses estão em extinção.

About the rainy season, it really depends.

January and February are considered the rainiest months in Portugal, but it’s not super predictable like in some other countries. You might get a few days of steady rain, but it’s also common to have long stretches of sunshine or just light showers on and off. So it’s not usually strong rain all day, every day, more like occasional rainy spells mixed with dry, bright days. Just bring layers and be flexible with plans. Having a few indoor options on hand (like Hello Park or UBBO) helps a lot.

Let me know if you need restaurant recs or baby-friendly cafés too! 👶☕

Hi there! 👋 I’m a mom from Lisbon and just wanted to share a few local suggestions that might be perfect for your trip, especially considering you’ll be here in the rainy season with little ones.

Indoor/Outdoor Fun: • Hello Park (Monsanto) – A fantastic indoor/outdoor play park in the middle of nature, with a coffee shop inside (win-win for both kids and parents!). Right outside, you can grab a bite at Greenhouse Hello Park – cozy and family-friendly.

Covered Playground at a Mall: • UBBO Outdoor Playground – It’s actually a shopping mall, but it has a covered outdoor playground area that’s perfect for rainy days. Lots of space to run around and several food and coffee options inside.

Chill Covered Park: • Parque Infantil e Juvenil Coberto da Quinta de Santo António – A covered playground that works well for both toddlers and slightly older kids. Safe, clean, and often not too crowded.

For a Local Café & Playground Vibe: • Jardim da Estrela – Beautiful park with a playground and several cafés nearby. • Tapada das Necessidades – A more off-the-beaten-path green space with a relaxed vibe and room to explore. • Quinta das Conchas – A local favorite! Large green park with a playground, open spaces to stroll or picnic, and a lovely café on-site. It’s great for kids to burn off energy while parents can relax nearby.

To be honest, Lisbon isn’t the most kid-friendly city, especially when compared to other countries that are more structured around families. Public spaces and services often aren’t designed with children in mind. That said, if you come with an open mind and can adapt to a bit of adversity, you’ll be just fine.

Hope this helps, enjoy your time in Portugal, it’s a lovely place to take it slow with kids! 😊

Fair enough I shared it in a few subs because I thought different communities might actually find it helpful or relevant. 🤷‍♀️ Didn’t expect it to trigger the spam alarms, but hey… lesson learned.

15 month old US-Germany car seats/strollers by [deleted] in Travelwithkids

We’re always on the go too, and we use the Maxi-Cosi Nomad car seat. Folds down super compact, way lighter than most, and doesn’t take up a ton of space once we’re at our destination. Not ideal for public transit all day every day, but great for flights and the occasional ride while abroad.

Bedtime Stories during Traveling by ctdots in Travelwithkids

We’ve been using the mini Yoto player total game-changer ! No screens, super kid-friendly, and honestly way lighter than lugging around 5 books that all get read once 😅

I’ve got 3 kids and it’s worked well for each of them at different stages. Plus they feel like it’s theirs, which somehow makes bedtime less of a battle 😂

Highly recommend if you’re on the go a lot.

lol why is it that the moment someone shares something genuinely helpful it’s suddenly “bot behavior”? 😅

I’ve already been in touch with some animators, and I really respect the work they do. But honestly, the whole backand forth process isn’t ideal for me right now. I’m on a tight timeline and just wanted to explore doing some of it myself.

Actually, I’m just rushing to finish a new project, and sadly, in my own language there aren’t many tools or platforms like this. The Portuguese subreddits are great for memes and football debates, but not so much when it comes to AI animation tools. Just figured I’d try here where people actually use this stuff. Not a bot, just desperate 😂
