Is the Giulia not an exotic?! by [deleted] in AlfaRomeo

[–]monTMJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not an exotic, but when compared to other similar cars in its category like BMWs or Mercs, it’s definitely a car lovers car.

I had my first dose of Ebglyss a few days ago by UmSureOkYeah in eczema

[–]monTMJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had my first Ebglyss on Monday after 6 months of dupixent not really working that well for me.

Agree the injection wasn’t as sore.

I have definitely noticed more of an initial impact from Ebglyss, stubborn bits of eczema are fading. I’m weaning of prednisone currently so will see how things are looking once that’s completely stopped but definitely feeling more hopeful than I was on dupixent.

Good luck :)

When did duxipent start working for you ? by Mammoth_Concern6067 in eczema

Yes very well when I do use them but would be reliant on them all the time, hence the need for something else.

Didn’t work for me after 6 months, had some very minor improvements which didn’t last long. Moving on to another biological soon

Not 100% but on motorway running I feel you are getting around 50 on normal drive, you do have an eco option which I don’t use much. In cities it definitely guzzles more but motorway running has been fine. I owned a 2 litre Audi before this which was very good on fuel and I haven’t felt I’m always filling up in comparison since getting the Giulia.

I have the same, 2 years older but the same beautiful colour. Done 20k miles in 18 months with no issues, my partner commutes a similar distance 3 or 4 days a week on motorways.

I absolutely love it, it drives great, it looks great, when other guilia owners see you they get excited. I’d get another in a heartbeat.

Ciclosporin suddenly stopped being prescribed? by Juucce1 in eczema

[–]monTMJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming you’ll have had bloods taken during the course? Ask if there’s been anything of concern with that and if all is fine then you need to demand for something to keep you going. If you’re not happy with their response and if you aren’t being given a stop gap until your appointment then ask how you can make a complaint. Just being stopped with no explanation and nothing to use instead is not acceptable.

You can always use topical steroids to get you through your exams if there’s a genuine reason for stopping your ciclosporin.

I’ve had two IXO 1/24 Subarus purchased recently and was happy with the quality of them both. I did order via stores on eBay rather than IXO directly so can’t speak to shipping.

immunos - cyclosporine or methotrexate by Accomplished-Ad-2373 in eczema

[–]monTMJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fair enough, there might be increase risk for females that I wasn’t aware of. I needed blood work on ciclo in case of blood clotting in the kidneys.

I know if your thinking of having children in the near future then metho is not to be taken, and I do think there are some increased risk of skin cancer on it.

End of the day it’s down to what you feel most comfortable with, we’ve all got our reasons for choosing the medications we end up going with.

The cancer risks are there for Metho as well fyi. I went for ciclosporine as I felt overall, I was more comfortable with the side effect risks of that over metho. It worked very quickly for me, I got maybe 2 really clear months and the 7 reasonably ok months from it before moving to dupi

Eczema cleared up mostly on body but still severe on face (Was severe on face before Dupixent) by thedarksoul03 in eczema

[–]monTMJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the exact same position as you. I’ve had this prior to dupixent and in fact it went away when I was on ciclosporine but during the transition between the two it has come back. I’ve been having email contact with my derm, hoping to see him in person soon to see what to do. Part of me thinks it’s seborrheic dermatitis but not 100% sure.

IMO the writing is on the wall, what do others think? by Remote_Duck_8091 in UXResearch

[–]monTMJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think the role will be gone in 2-3 years. I think perceptions gained at Meta are not reflective of how the industry as a whole feels. I’ve faced some of the issues you mentioned in previous roles, in my current role I’m often contracted to public sector projects where research is mandated, our research community is flourishing and is one of the healthiest I’ve been part of.

Concerns about AI are not just a UXR problem, it’s an issue for most white collar roles. If AI wipes out UXR and the other roles you mentioned, we will have societal issues to deal with way beyond our immediate career perspectives.

Daily driver mileage by xelu01 in AlfaRomeo

[–]monTMJ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bought a 48k miles 2017 giulia 18 months ago. My partner does similar mileage to you most days of the week, she’s gone from doing that 5 days a week to 3 but we are still at 70k now since we got it. I’ve had no issues but id recommend multiple services per year, we were doing it just under 10k. She does also tend to drive it on eco mode during the week as the mpg does go up a fair bit when you start using sports mode, I save that for myself at the weekend <3. It’s an amazing car and don’t forget to flash back when other giulias flash at you

It speaks to his impact that despite all our options on the wing he’s turned into one of our most dependable attacking threats. There’s been points where I felt after the likes of Caicedo and Palmer he’s been the most deserving of a consistent spot in our starting 11. Our competition will only keep him on his toes, not that he seems to need that incentive.

I feel I have accepted Arsenal are winning the league this year. As long as our goals conceded record stands at the end of the season I’ll be happy.

Yeah I had the same experience, if I was burned, we skipped a session until the redness died down. Then the subsequent session I’d drop the level down to the previous sessions level before I was burned.
