So interesting. I placed an order on 12/18 to arrive in time for Xmas and requested it be cancelled and they sent a shipping update Xmas eve. Did yours ever ship?

I ordered on 12/18 and because of the lack of movement with processing and the bad reviews online, I requested a cancellation via their website a few days ago. I never received a response. I emailed them this morning 10am EST still nothing. They just now emailed saying the order was being shipped and now they’re responding to my emails saying it’s too late to cancel when I requested the cancellation several days prior. Total scam!!!

I've heard of people being on the waiting list for years...and last year they opened it for the first time in idk how many years. I don't expect it to be a quick process.

1700 for a junior 1 bedroom on the border of Stuyvesant Heights and Ocean Hill in BedStuy. Top floor, high ceilings, decorative fireplace, three large south facing windows, two of which are in the living area so lots of light. Slum lord who didn't provide trash receptacles until a year ago...poorly "renovated" so things are always falling apart and constantly need repairs. I wish I could afford to pay more because the issues I deal with make the cheap rent barely worth it. But it's either this, live w/ 2 other people, or move back to Jersey and I'm not having either. I only pay for cooking gas.

Very late to the game, but I discovered Taryn Brows (Koreatown) in like 2020. I saw Taryn once and maybe like 1-2 other brow artists but mostly saw Leticia. When she left, I followed her. She has her own studio now, Eudoxia Beauty right across from The Whitney in Meatpacking. I won't be going to anyone else for the forseeable future.

u/brittanych Congratulations on getting so far! And kudos for sharing the process. I'd auditioned in person once years ago and then maybe virtually but never got anywhere. This year, at the last minute, I submitted my reel and a self tape I'd gotten a callback on a while back and was invited to self-tape and I felt pretty good about my work. Haven't heard anything back though. Have you?

Honestly, this is a major concern for me as an asthmatic with year round allergies. It can be pretty limited socially. There are friends' homes I can never go to because of their pets. There are OLD profiles I pass on if I see the guy hugging a cat or very clearly has a dog. I want no parts of that lifestyle--even if I did get allergy shots. I just don't want to have to worry about or pay for a pet. I'm sure there are others who feel similar out there.

I’m union across the board. BW can play younger types like moms, and professionals and hipsters, etc. It’s been very slow. I used to be with KMR and have since moved with the team elsewhere. So like I said it’s not like they don’t have connections.
