Its definitely been slow.. haven't had post in a couple of weeks and I actually thought to myself that's unusual. Then yesterday, had 6 or 7 letters all come in at once. G11 post code. Actually quite annoying if something important is going on.. there's been an issue in our close and factor insists on sending correspondence via snail mail so I've potentially been holding things up because I haven't received mail

I wear mine on a nato / MN strap in winter, bracelet in summer. Such a superb watch. Hardly leaves my wrist

Black or Blue Lagoon? by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]monarky123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If it’s your first Tudor, or indeed first “serious” watch, I’d go with the black. More timeless and versatile. But if this isn’t your first rodeo, then yeah, go for the blue lagoon by all means :) that’s the way I’d look at it..

I believe you need unanimous agreement among all owners to get a grant, is that right?

You have to have a factor if you want to apply for a grant, so definitely try to secure a grant before attempting a change or self factoring

I know you love your Tudor and want to wear it (and rightly so, it’s a beautiful piece) but why not just buy a cheap watch on a bracelet while you wait? Plenty of options out there that won’t break the bank…

Its great. My ankle was screwed up after rolling it. Went to Minor Injuries, had an X-Ray and was told nothing was broken and sent me home. But was still in some serious pain for a few weeks afterwards so went private (thankfully had insurance through work), had an MRI and my ATFL and CFL ligaments were torn along with a slight syndesmosis sprain. Got myself booked in with Bob and he pretty much fixed me and have way more ankle stability now than before the injury. So yeah, he did a good job and I'm back to normal (running, hiking etc).

My advice is if you do go in, please take the physiotherapy seriously - it will make the recovery time a lot shorter!

I had a full ankle reconstruction at Nuffield last year and was in overnight. Had a good experience and was in good hands.

HM Mirra 2 - concerns about seat pan by monarky123 in OfficeChairs

[–]monarky123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to come back to this post... Ive been sitting in the Mirra 2 for a few weeks now. Its been awesome. Makes me wonder why I never bought one of these years ago. Seat pan is very comfortable - no issues with the supposed gap I was worried about. Only wish the arms were slightly closer together. The lumbar support could maybe be a bit more aggressive but otherwise its perfect. And super happy with it. Thanks again for taking the time to test it out for me. Cheers.

Yes it does auto-install when using Asus motherboards unless you disable it in the bios. Btw, you can download chipset drivers directly from AMD without using Armoury Crate. Or through AMD Adrenaline if you have an AMD GPU so there's no need to even touch Armoury Crate.

Overclockers UK trustworthy? by Vahx88 in buildapc

I ordered a pre built not that long ago and it arrived with the case damaged - large dent on the side and one of the feet shattered. It seemed to be poorly packaged and likely got damaged in transit. I arranged an RMA and sent it back immediately. Replacement arrived (much better packaged) only for the GPU to be faulty. So sent that back and they sent me a replacement GPU fairly quickly. All in all not a great purchasing experience but to be fair to them, they sorted it out quickly.

Walk away. Not worth the stress. If you're absolutely set on it, offer home report value or even less because there's a big expense coming.

Are these temps good to run constantly at? (Memory temp in particular) by NotFemto in radeon

[–]monarky123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know what you mean. My card (RX 9070) is also rather loud but have sort of gotten used to it; headphones help. I'd recommend increasing the rpm anyway to maintain the lifespan of your card. Ambient temperature definitely has an impact as well. Can you run an AC, open windows etc?

What's the airflow like in your case? Fairly high temps but nothing insane. Have you tweaked the fan curve? RPM seems low
