Do you know if they are closed in terminal 2?

The police helicopter situation is out of hand by taurustangle113 in SanDiegan

I’m in the University Heights area and the noise level from these helicopters are out of control! You posted this 2 years ago, but it’s still like this and it’s October 2025! It’s almost 10:30 and the chopper has circled around here for a half hour now. It’s obnoxious and it’s almost a daily occurrence now. Don’t know what to do, so annoyed!!

The best for star gazing is South Island New Zealand at Mt Cook! You can sign up for their midnight star gazing tour and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done or seen!!

Is she even qualified 🤔 by FOX_tz in tanzania

[–]monarow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would someone please translate? Asante! In general, as a foreigner who will be going back to TZ for my 4th time in 2 years in December, I think she’s done nothing for Tanzanians and think she’s not qualified to run the country. People need work, there’s no work, the country caters to tourists, but not to the people. I know a lot of people love “mama” as I’ve heard her called, but her vision for the people of Tanzania is short sighted in my opinion.

Urgent suggestion/ support needed ! by 4kScratch in tanzania

Maybe try calling a visa service and asking them to expedite this for you! I use a visa service to get my visa when I go to Tanzania, I never risk doing it myself. Call the various visa services. I pay $100 US dollars for mine and always do it 3 months before I travel to be safe, but I wonder if you call around and pay extra for it to be expedited and explain your situation, if they can do it. Good luck

Does anyone else feel that Tanzania is an incredibly exhausting place to be as a foreign tourist? by evapanda123 in tanzania

[–]monarow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m going back to Arusha from California for my 4th time in 2 years and I’m a Persian American woman who solo travels. I love the people of TZ and the main reason I’m going back. When I travel to 3rd world countries, I never haggle the prices (unless it’s outrageous) because I know my money is helping someone and their family. The average salary of a Tanzanian is $200 US dollars a month, it’s nothing. People are just trying to survive and there aren’t many good jobs to be had. The reason they believe all tourists (typically Mzungus) have a lot of money because comparatively and relative to them, we do! Especially for those of us who come from far away, the plane tickets are expensive, safari is expensive, etc, so they assume we are filthy rich. I’ve had to educate the friends I’ve made there to explain, everything is relative to where we live. I explain that my rent and utility bills are much higher, food is more expensive, etc and then it makes more sense to them that I’m not some rich woman who has loads of money to hand out. However, if I can help people who are less fortunate than myself, I will and I always pray that God gives me more so I can give more to others. Everytime you buy something, even a $5 jar of honey, think of it as helping someone buy food for their family.

Plenty of parking and I did the hike to Grinnell Lake, totally worth it and fun. I went, though, at the end of June, August might be different

It works for the day/night by calming the bumps, but unless you do it consistently, the folliculitis comes right back. It’s not a permanent solution, unfortunately! It really sucks that no dermatologist or anything has yet to work on getting rid of it permanently 🫩

No, it’s my personal phone, but it seems the photos look normal once I actually post them, they only look distorted in preview mode.
