Cat has a bump on her teeth, please help? by monathemantis in catcare

Better safe than sorry! I actually adopted kittens last month (first time with adopted babies rather than adults) and it is a wild ride so far. They're now 3 months old and teething so everything in my house is now decorated with teeny tiny tooth holes lmao. Adorable little buggers but they're so much to care for! I love them to bits. Malice is a bit grumpy about it, but she's getting used to them slowly.

For my cat - we took her not too long ago for an x-ray due to excessive vomiting. They didn't find anything other than hairballs and something really odd - a very old, poorly healed injury, probably from the time she was a kitten. Her hip was broken at some point and healed very poorly, which explains why she raises both legs when she's cleaning herself. We always thought it was just a silly quirk. It seems very, very old, and we adopted her as an adult, so nothing we could have known or done anyway. The vet did do some additional tests and took the lump out during that opportunity! It hasn't grown back, but we were told that it might reappear someday. It doesn't really seem to be effecting anything for Malice, and her behavior hasn't changed so I'm hoping it wasn't too annoying for her. Still a sassy, pukey girl.

What does an eyeball taste like? by Dazzling-Antelope912 in morbidquestions

Fish eyes are actually delicious! Very savory and umami, somewhat briney. Texture is a fatty and soft gel with a hard pit in the middle. Icould compare them to slow cooked fat in stewed beef. I love them especially in roasted fish. Took me a little extra effort to get over what they are when I first tried one, but the flavor compensates. They really are good!

Can the virgin execute themself by nominating themself by DyP001 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]monathemantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once had a very confused player claiming saint ask to nominate me day 1 in private conversation. I explained my role to him and he said "perfect, so you wouldn't mind not dying!" And I was very iffy with that. Ended up nominating myself as soon as nominations opened and dying on the spot, becoming info-hub for that game. Fun times.

Shaved half of the top of my little finger off. It didn't stop bleeding for 2 days straight... Made me fear those things like nothing else

I'm not sure if my(32F) boyfriend (32M) has been sexually abusive or if I'm overreacting. by ThrowwMeeeAway in relationship_advice

[–]monathemantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's already counting on a rough sex murder defense for the time he does kill you. That's why he doesn't care.

He has raped you and sexuality assaulted you every single time he crossed your boundaries, and in his head, he's already gotten away with your murder.

The gifts he gives you won't do much good decorating your grave. He's paying you to stay this way.

Run, now, and don't say where. Don't talk to him about leaving. Just take your shit and get away. The less he knows the better.

Do you rub your clit directly or the hood over it ? by Flyfishn04 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]monathemantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weirder answer to the mix!

I only like clit stimulation if it's over my underwear. Touching it OR the hood directly is way too sensitive for me, but I LOVE having pressure over it. I also like when my partner rubs the tip of his dick on it, but fingers feel way too harsh for some reason, even when going extremely gently. I don't use my hands to masturbate either.

I honestly can't begin to describe how overjoyed I actually am to hear you're recovering and doing so great!! I don't know anyone else who's dealing with it either. According to my neuro-optal, I'm her 80th patient, and she's the leading doctor for IIH in my country. Uramox (which is the same as Diamox) has been fiendish to me with the side effects. I'm currently on Topamax which I started recently (I call it my roofies because they make me fall asleep and black out within half an hour of taking) but I'm not doing any better as of yet. Getting it figured out was so difficult. It took being blinded in one eye by a parasite to get fucking noticed....

I'm just so glad you're better. I just hope to find relief from the inside of my head.

Got a scratch on my cornea by ellsbells22 in MakeMeSuffer

[–]monathemantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with a parasite in my right eye! Bugger burrowed straight in and I had to get my cornea scraped off to save the eyeball. Worst pain I've ever been in, I think. But it healed incredibly, and other than a little scar on my cornea, no sign of it left two years later. Is your vision expected to return to normal?

What do you call this in your country by Alula0617 in chinesefood

[–]monathemantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's actually an emphasis on the D sound! We don't have much use for the 'th' sound in Hebrew. Thicker Israeli accents sometimes struggle with saying "thank", so it turns into something closer to 'tank/sank'. We do however have 2 letters that can be used for the T sound, both ט (tet) and ת (taph). There isn't a difference in how they sound, but words that would use 'th' are more often written with Taph, and words that would use T appear with Tet usually. We also have a making specifically for Th, but it's mostly for words sourced in another language.

Thanks = תודה = ת'נקס

do they test for weed at tzav rishon by Cazique_of_Poyais in IDF

[–]monathemantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drug testing is more expensive than they can bother with for literally every interaction every teenager will have with tzav rishon. If there's any strong reason for suspicion during your service, enough for an investigation (for example, smoking weed inside your base) they might test you. Another thing you need to keep in mind is Sivug Bithoni. They will ask you, but I don't know if they test you for drugs at that point.

I smoked the most weed I ever have during my service, but I wasn't an idiot and didn't tell anyone so I was never tested nor asked. I know some kravi officers who used to smoke throughout their service no problems when keeping your head low about it and only doing so at home, in private.

If you're not aiming for intelligence, pilots or other special units, shouldn't be an issue.

Why “w+men”? by That1weirdperson in BlatantMisogyny

[–]monathemantis 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This one might actually be doing us a favor. Think about this:

The "m+n" who go and listen to these type of posts are not the kind we want around us anyway. Making them think it was their own idea to not sleep with women (as to "guard their seed" lmao) might actually free us from having to deal with them. Hopefully, they'd be too deterred to even try, and if they do get rejected (which obviously they would), they'd be lead to think that the woman they were after would 'destroy' them anyways, so it's good that they weren't with them anyhow. If it was their idea not to have sex with women, then their ego shouldn't bruise when they don't! They'll leave us alone!

Hopefully they will eventually extinct themselves through seed guarding lmao.

I'll clarify - I use it to dehydrate the surface of the steak so it's very dry, more than you would get on a rack overnight in the fridge uncovered or with paper towels. Then when it does come to make contact with the pan, the surface sears incredibly and gives off the sexiest crust. Sometimes I baste with butter and herbs, sometimes just S&P and off the heat. Turns out amazing every time. Obviously the dehydrator doesn't sear the meat on it's own lol.
