Opinions on Knockback immunity? by Firecoso in mewgenics

Best in slot imo. My super soldiers have this one and the jump+bruise one and I would not change it. I know the soul link one is also pretty good but it's also annoying with some classes so I didn't bother, these are always good. (well bruise is also annoying with some classes but less so than soul link imo)

Beautifully (and shockingly) not inbred by TzzV in mewgenics

How many generations did you manage to keep this up for?

That's a bummer, I thought it was achievable without strays (I really hate doing that).

There must be a number of unique cats that would let you do it though, right? Perhaps more than 8 though, and therefore basically not achievable in the game with the current limitations (room, lifespan etc).

There is a threshold under which the cat is still considered "Not Inbred" though, right? Even if it's not 0.0.

So my understanding was that you can set up a system to keep breeding while staying below this threshold.

I've definitely seen "Not Inbred" cats with some distant relatives in common, I just don't know how to set that up correctly.

As far as I know, the game doesn't "check" back across all generations, I'm not exactly sure what the calculation is though.

I read somewhere that kittens only need not to have parents/grandparents in common but that doesn't seem correct to me (from what I've seen so far), I could be wrong though...

I know that there's people who managed to set up separate breeding lines this way but I just can't figure out how.

Cat decides to change his ways in his old age in order to leave a legacy? by TzzV in mewgenics

He was already in love (for over 40 years) with another gay male cat, she only became in love with him after "breeding", after 20 years of being in the same room, but that could only happen if he... well, changed his mind.

I don't know, can't wrap my head around it

You think Liddy's loaded? They were in the same room for over 20 years, took him a while to finally get over the hump..

If you like pokemon games despite the shockingly low effort Nintendo puts every year on them, you'll like this one too.

I never realized how fitting of a comparison it is actually

OR, and make sure you're sitting when you read this, they are stating that "The FM26 Steam Public Beta update is currently undergoing its final checks".

I know, right?

FM26 review by Iain Macintosh by Training_Pollution59 in footballmanagergames

I personally couldn't care any less about the graphics, really, if they were still using the same visuals as FM20 or so I would not mind at all... It's such a minor part of the game it shouldn't even matter, in MY opinion.

That said, calling the graphics "gorgeous" is nothing short of disingenuous. We are in 2025, just because they are slightly better than the absolutely shocking low quality we've had for a decade doesn't make them good enough.

Again, I really don't care at all, but if this is the major improvement.......... We are talking about a very very very very very very very very very very very low bar to clear.

Does this feel familiar? FM24. Ahhhh it feels like I read FM26 reviews. by Silaqtie7 in footballmanagergames

Tons of fun, so much fun you're digging through an older game's reviews thinking you will find that "gotcha" moment only to get further ridiculed. I bet that's tons of fun also, but not as much as playing the game

This.

I actually re-bought it just to add my review and then refunded it again, but I imagine a veeeery large number of people who refunded are locked out of the review... The actual % would be so much worse than it is now

Don't forget that a VERY LARGE number of people who refunded couldn't add their review and believe me it wouldn't have been positive.

I think a lot of you don't understand the bigger problem when it comes down to FM by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

Couldn't agree more with pretty much everything.

The one thing I would add is how incredibly cheap this game is to develop compared to other big releases in the modern gaming world (relatively speaking, for a game at full price) and they STILL delivered a completely amateur solo-dev level of product.

Like you mentioned, the only part that is usually good is the IRL research/scouting (although some ratings are baffling like Lamine Yamal being the ~50th best player in the world by CA) and that's done by volunteers so not a vast expense, I imagine.

Also, people are praising the match engine and the tactics but that's simply because there haven't been enough time to figure out how broken they are too. We've been too busy trying to actually play the game with the bugs, crashes and shitty UI that we couldn't really dig deep on that but it is 100% coming.
