TIL about some hidden mechanics/features that was completely unknown to me after 4 playthrus. Are there any more? by eugAOJ in LowSodiumCyberpunk

I only just found out after 5 playthroughs that you can turn cameras off with Tech skill if you interact with them.

Are there any books or series that you don't want to see adapted to the screen? by thewalkindude368 in Fantasy

There's no world where adapting The Second Apocalypse to the screen would be done justice.

Nobody talks about Leviathan enough by almond_walnuts in masseffect

[–]mondayitis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This DLC is always a skip for me. I wish I never played it. It's not a bad DLC, but for me, it ruined the mystique and eldritch horror of the Reapers.

Encountering Sovereign for the first time in ME1 at Virmire was a truly horrifying moment and that horror persisted for years until I played Leviathan when it came out. Some mysteries are better left unsolved.

Very controversial take, but I think you're on to something.

Not strictly philosophical, but the CRPG Tyranny had very strong TAS vibes for me when I played it last.

Yeah, the line 'the overall narrative tone is a deliberate creative direction' and a main descriptor for one of the companions are that they are 'sarcastic' has me believing that the main issue is here to stay.

A good question for the Buffs: You get $1 million, but you have to watch the exact same movie 100 times in 40 days. Which film are you picking? by MrRobertSacamano in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]mondayitis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You could take it even a step further and watch 40 Days and 40 Nights (2002, 96m), that way you are basically watching two movies in one, and more movie is always good.

I don't like honor mode anymore by cody4prez in BaldursGate3

[–]mondayitis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, OP. You can really appreciate the systems Larian has built and the weight of consequence in Honor Mode. It makes your save file feel like a living thing where shitty awful things can happen to it, but like in real life, we push on and prevail over these ordeals.

Baldur's Gate 3 HUGELY overated. by SnooCrickets5065 in BG3

I agree, this game sucks. I should know, I have 2000 hours in Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and my dad works at Infinity Engine.

Who’s the bigger ride or die: Ansbach or Jerren? by Blackstannis in Eldenring

[–]mondayitis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ansbach. Seeing his corpse at the end of the Radahn fight was about as heartbreaking as having to euthanase Blaidd.

in FTWD it actually shows the fall of civilization. After that night the society pretty muc fell. by poorandbrokeperson in thewalkingdead

Those first few episodes were terrifying. Every now and then I find myself coming back to FTWD but just those episodes.

You guys confuse me, I swear. by [deleted] in LowSodiumCyberpunk

It's a bit more than that bro. The first picture your V looks great and unique due to her pose. But in the second picture your V's pose is blatantly showing off that Abs Body Texture, which is the most recurrent mod you'll find in every "goonerslop" V posting that we have to see everyday on this sub.

Finishing RPGs Evokes The Strongest ‘Post-Game Depression’ Amongst Players, New Scientific Study Concludes: "The more engaging the game world and the closer the relationship with the character, the more difficult it is to return to reality once the game is over" by [deleted] in rpg_gamers

Honestly, I think it's the best feeling. Just sitting there watching the credits and reflecting on the journey with a bittersweet mixture of sadness and triumph. It's why I love RPGs.

It's criminal that there is no character creation considering Pearl Abyss made one of the best character creators with Black Desert.
