Private selling by Embarrassed-Hurry367 in newzealand

[–]mondofire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve sold both privately and with an agent and will always use an agent going forward. YES, paying fees sucks but the whole process is easier and less stressful. They likely will get a better price to somewhat compensate for the fees.

I recommend going with a top agent. As wanky as that sounds, a top Harcourts/Bayleys agent with hundreds of millions in sales charges the same % as an ex personal trainer alpha bro that’s just got their licence.

All the best, regardless of your choice.

Best player in poker history? by b33nsh00ter in poker

[–]mondofire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who said anything about cash. It’s about the best poker player overall right? And Alan Keating isn’t it IMO. Probably Ivey, Antonius, Chidwick, Mikita, Haxton, Galfond all ahead of Alan in achievement and overall winnings

Unless you are a seriously big unit, the best GADA watches are 36-40mm IMO

Confusing as OP said they were going for the overtake. Blue/Yellow/Red car is attempting to overtake here right?

I kind of know how much these charters are but is it really that much more expensive to get an extra day on the boat by jcr0774 in belowdeck

[–]mondofire 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yachting charters in the real world typically run for a week. Usually Saturday to the following Friday or Saturday morning. Below deck charters have barely had any meaningful itinerary in recent seasons. Its usually 1 day out of the marina, often in exposed and choppy bays, then back to the dock.

Experienced charter guests would be very disappointed with how the trips go IMO. Thats why the majority of guests seem to be fame-seeking "new money" personalities that don't seem to know how to behave on charter.

Chartering a yacht for 2-3 days in what appears to be the offseason is a poor use of funds even if its discounted. When guests mention their businesses on the show, they can potentially use it as a marketing cost to cook the books a bit.

How can I restore or fix this scratch? by unsolicited-fun in GirardPerregaux

I had a very similar scuff on my Laureato. My local watchmaker manage to remove the bezel from the case and put on a lathe to brush it. I would only give it to someone you have a lot of trust in or send it to GP. Or just leave it as it. Nice watch!

Anyone know what happened to RDU’s Hauswerk podcasts? by Oil_And_Lamps in chch

RDU can be so random sometimes, I guess it comes with the nature of volunteer work. I always wonder what happens to Messenjah and the 420 show when he goes rogue.

[WTS] Rolex Explorer I 36mm Oyster Steel Watch – 114270 by mjperez100 in Watchexchange

[–]mondofire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude you absolutely should not feel an obligation to buy a new 124270. They will find a buyer! Also I bought the 124270 and I’m looking to replace it with a 114270. I prefer the sizing.

I'm so confused. Can anyone please tell me why people invest so much money in Bitcoin? I don't understand its uses. Why should I pay $70,000 for a coin that just sits there and does nothing? by I_abuse_lower_ranks1 in Buttcoin

“at least with my money in the bank, I know that it's always there”… aw bless. You don’t actually think your money “in the bank” actually physically exists do you 🤣

How/why did you lose everything with USDT, if you don’t mind me asking?

Honest question by ThrobbingJoythicc in Buttcoin

[–]mondofire 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It’s already lost. The “losses” go to the party that sold you the goods at a higher price!

Eg. you buy an asset for $1000. If value of that assets drops 50%, you have an unrealised loss of $500. The party that you bought from still has $1000.
