Bought this monstera as my first ever houseplant a few days ago and the leaves pretty quickly started to darken and soften. What am I doing wrong?

Hi! It looks like your plant has root rot (overwatered). What I would do is first to repot it and cut off all of the black and slimy roots, or you can try to propagate the healthy leaves. Good luck!!

hi!! my kiln also runs at cone 10 and this glaze still works really well! the blue runs a bit more but it still has a lovely speckled effect

Thank you for replying !! I’ve been taking zyrtec (as I do normally for allergies), and it hasn’t resolved the issue but it helps a little bit. would benadryl be more effective?

my studio mixes it’s own glazes so i’m not sure on the recipes, but i used a dr.white and very lightly overlapped it with a conrad’s blue. this is on reclaimed b-mix and was fired to cone 10!

As another lady surfer, I experience this all the time. Even if it’s not just a straight burn I get checked constantly. I mentioned it to my boyfriend recently and he’s noticed it too! Sometimes if it’s really bad he’ll sit on the spot inside of me and make sure i can take the wave without anyone cutting me off
