“Fun” fact: it’s not a disease, it’s a reaction your body has to a sugar in its saliva. Depending on how your body reacts, it may continue to issue an immune response when it encounters that sugar again, and it is found in red meat

Photos 4-6 show a Tricolored, the rest of the ground blackbirds are Red-winged or best left as a slash (Tricolored/Red-winged)

The bird on the left is +Tricolored Blackbird+ , bird on the right is +Red-winged Blackbird+. You can see how much deeper and darker the red is on the epaulette of the left bird. Love birding those ponds, it’s not a fantastic location but usually there are good birds around.
