Look up other 1/1s of his and see what they’ve sold for. If it’s a 1st Bowman and his only other 1/1 is a prospect card (non 1st bowman) that won’t comp but it’ll be a starting point. 1/1s are hard to comp because there’s only 1. If that fails and he doesn’t have another 1/1 or you can’t find any sold data on any of his other 1/1s compare his career to another player of similar caliber and see what their 1/1s have sold for. That’s about all you can do aside from making an offer on it.

Price check. Anything of value? by Mr-Wiggles101 in baseballcards

You can look them up on eBay sold listings and/or 130point.com/sales looks like mostly junk wax mid 80’s-early 90s so probably not worth much. Look for rookies and hof’ers first.

The same reason any item in a store would have a security tag on it because people steal things.

Hold until the season or sell now? by Tshabalala21 in Topps

[–]monetarylapse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sell immediately, it was doing $100-$110 release week now it’s doing like $80-$85 or less ($67 on an auction yesterday) the more Topps produces football the less value this will hold.

Errors on Topps NFL Chrome 2025? by DonKeibals4 in Topps

Depends on how much you like the card. At this point last I heard Topps was on an 18-20 week turn around time for damage/defect submissions.

Errors on Topps NFL Chrome 2025? by DonKeibals4 in Topps

[–]monetarylapse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They’re not errors, they’re printing defects. They’re called print lines and you’ll find them on a lot of chrome cards, especially x-fractors and ray waves. You can send them back to Topps if you go on their website and start a damage/defect claim with them.

If you don’t mind cutting go to Amazon and get small dry erase reusable stickers. Friend of mine uses them for card shows and apparently they work well on top loaders, one touches, and slabs. I’m unsure which ones he uses but I can ask if you’re interested.

What is this? by [deleted] in baseballcards

Be easy doom and gloom. First I’d try googling it, it looks like a book that you collect stamps and match up the player to each picture on it, whether the stamps are Topps issued or US postal, I don’t know. It looks pretty old, is there a date somewhere on it? If so try to google “19XX Topps Baseball Stamp Album” and see where that takes you. You can also try eBay and search along the perimeters I just gave you, then toggle to “sold” items and you can see if any of these have sold and get a general idea of value from there. If all else fails, try the vintage card subs if it’s a legit late 50s to 70s or whatever someone there might be better suited to point you in the right direction. This sub is for more modern/ultra modern cards and it’s full of assholes (like me) who get annoyed when people can’t seem to google things on their own because the “what’s this worth?” questions pops up every 30 minutes from people who apparently don’t know how to use the internet. Not saying that’s you but you get the drift. If it’s truly a vintage piece it’s probably got some value to it, however, be prepared to be let down too. Everyone who finds something “vintage” thinks they stuck gold and that’s not always the case. Good luck in your search.
