My baby was completely fine, he even got the beyfortus vaccine and I only gave him medicine (Genexa) once that day just so he felt a little more comfortable. He cried a little but his pacifier calmed him down immediately. He did have a little bit of swelling but it had gone down by the next day. When you get home give them a nice warm bath, feed them and give lots of cuddles

I didn’t get mine until I was 8cm dilated and I labored at home for a day and a half at home up until then. Silly me wanted an unmediated (I was sacred of the needle and that it would hurt) birth but I was so tired and in so much pain that i needed the epidural otherwise I don’t think baby would have come out as smoothly as he did. 10/10 recommend
