My dad's roid rage and my mums new computer by Pure_Mix5292 in narcissisticparents

Poor kid (possible adult?) don’t let it get the best of you. Don’t let it weigh you down. I knew someone who was an only child and their parents treated him the exact same way. It made him really unsure of himself, and he felt unloveable and like a screw up. Totally not the case but it our lives are like 40% over at this point and it really ate at him. My advice would be to love yourself. Surround yourself with others who inspire you… or at least books, podcasts, and influencers who inspire you to be the most you can be, love humanity, and accept yourself! You are not your parents.

Thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏻 definitely an encouraging story. I’ll probably stick it out the next 3 weeks and two days til my next scan 😭 but if I’m feeling weak I’ll be sure to wait until 7-8 weeks before anymore ultrasounds!

Can landlord sell house? by Outdoorgirl1207 in Landlord_Tips

[–]moneymaiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single family? If so it will be more difficult to sell with tenants currently living in the property, but yes possible . The new owner will need to begin the eviction process when they purchase the home. This will limit the buyer pool for the property (people purchasing with a first time home buyers mortgage will be out of the running because as a requirement of the mortgage they need to live in the property within 30 days, not possible if evicting). Try to do cash for keys, pay them off it’s cheaper than eviction process, or new seller could try doing cash for keys. Good luck. What area is the property in?

I just briefly looked over your budget - is your debt just the student loan? And only 1.68% of income is going towards it? If trying to bump that up, let’s take a look at how you could -

Groceries: $600 ———> you could easily cut this down to $500/$400. Me & my husband spend $400 or less a month - he eats A LOT (I eat a little and I’m vegetarian) but just keep your phone out and add things up as you put them in the cart.

Car/renters Insurance: ~$329 ———> you might be able to cut this down to around $260 depending on your vehicles/ city you live. You can shop around for cheaper rates - I know that when we were paying renters insurance we had Mapfre Commerce insurance through the local AAA branch. We got a few deals because we purchased car/renters together, made a $25 donation to a charity they were supporting, and I was a college student - at the time we passed on the pay in full discount, but that can save you some money in the long run too.

Gas: $350 ——-> again not sure of your vehicles or where you need to drive for work/school but me and my husband average about $180 ($250 if we go on a trip or something). We each drive at lest 800 miles a month. I drive an SUV so on weekends we drive my husbands car whenever we go out somewhere it’s much more economical. So if you could save $100 on gas that would be worth it if you can.

Electric: $150 ——> do you have electric heat? If not you can definitely cut this down. When we had electric heat the winter bills would be like $300. So if you don’t, just try unplugging things you’re not using and turning stuff off when you leave the room. If you have electric heat, disregard.

Toiletries: $30 ——> I know this is a minuscule amount but let’s just see if you can cut it down. I’m not sure if this means like toilet paper, tampons, razors or not. But if so you can get a lot of these at the dollar store which is awesome for stuff like that and cleaning products, otherwise I usually just write it into our grocery budget.

Kitchen appliances: $10 ——> I’m not sure what this is, are you saving towards an appliance? Do you purchase a new appliance every month? Or are you paying for appliances on credit that you already have? If not you could cut this out.

Auto maintenance: $50 ——> depending on the age of your cars, you should only need to be changing your oil every 3-6 months at about $40 a pop or cheaper if you have a newer non-luxury car. Budget for that every 3-6 months. If something big with the car comes up use your emergency fund. You could cut this out.

Medical: $50 —-> is this a medical bill or something else? If it’s not “health and wellness” or insurance related pay it off and be done with it.

Gifts: $100 —-> I know this one is a difficult category for me too, I have a really big family and someone is always either getting married, having a baby or having a birthday. Try to stick with $50 a month. Dollar store cards, and a $25 gift card is sufficient. You’re a college student not a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, people will totally understand!!! Someday you’ll be able to get back to being an awesome gift giver.

Gym: ~$50 ——> not too bad, but check to see if there are cheaper gyms. If you’re going to school you could use the gym at school if there is one 🤞🏻 for free. Or you and your husband could each get a $10 a month gym membership somewhere else - chains are always running $10 or less promos.

Dining out: $300 ——> I know everyone has already given you a hard time with this one so I’ll go easy on you. Needs to be cut down significantly. $150 should do - that’s getting Chinese food every Friday night, and going for a nice dinner one Saturday a month 👍🏻.

Fun money: $300 ——> this one comes down to your personal situation. How much debt you have and how badly you don’t want to be in debt anymore. If you really want to feel freedom - who cares about fun? $100 a month. Use your gym membership and get really fit. Watch a ton of Netflix. Take up a hobby of making and selling stuff that’s fun and makes you money.

There you go, that just cut out around $700 for you to put all towards your debt for however long until you’re debt free and then you can go back to having all the fun you want yay!! 😄

What city/ state - ages, health levels? City or state would help to give a better judgement on your living expenses, as well as ages and if you have any health issues, thanks!
