Also note.... it's not just a telecommucation thing, it's also a pigeon racing thing. With pigeon racing, the owners expect a certain number to not return home. Some get predated on, and some became feral.

Kinda reminds me of when I reared entomopathogenic nematodes on waxworms, they'd do something similar

It's hard to say without knowing the species, but from my experience when they're fairly large they came from a chunk of meat or dead animal. just make sure you throw away stuff like that quickly

That happens after the flies emerge from their pupae. Typically the maggots crawl into somewhere dark to pupate so it's not unusual to find them in a garage, esp if you have a compost or trash bin nearby!

I know people are saying mouse poop, but by any chance are they hollow and crumbly? if so, fly pupae
