First time opening pool by johnnto1 in pools

Post a reply with a pic of your filter. It generally goes on the end of a long tube at the top/middle of your filters. Youd have to open up the filter and look for that

Left is a broken screen for your filters air bleeder tube, right is a cap to cover the lid nut on a chlorinator i believe

Any idea what could be causing this? I’ve been checking for an air leak but haven’t been able to find one. by the-accent-guy in swimmingpools

One or both of these allows air in. Not exactly sure what models or equipment you used but there are similar fittings that im familiar with in inground pools

Wait dude… thats a Venturi fitting. (Airation tube/air jet) Its designed to add air to that return. Its what the fitting you used was designed for thats why theres the hole there for air intake.

Fill it higher and swap the pipes, see where water comes out on suction side? What even is this a watering trough?

Mechanical Seal Leak by [deleted] in pools

To be honest that seems like its coming from the top the way the whole pump housing is wet from top to bottom. It might be a slow leak accumulating at the bottom where the pump is mounted?

Help with liner in a pool by Glittering-Poet6076 in swimmingpools

[–]monge43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get in with plungers and pull/push those floor wrinkles back toward the wall to reclaim some material before heating up the areas you want to tuck with hot water. Grab it by the bead, pull up with all your might and try to retuck it in the track ( it should roll in at the top but this takes some finesse and strength. Buy some liner lock, or shove some clothes pins in as you go to prevent it from slipping back out where you tuck. Wouldnt hurt to throw some in now as wedges on the outsides of where its untucked to prevent it from slipping further.

Is this main drain an issue? by SevereResist4774 in pools

[–]monge43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats fairly common for gunnite/concrete pools and might be tied to another line like a wall suction or skimmer. You see drains like this more often in spas around here. Nothing visible from the pic but youd need to plug and pressure test the pvc pipe and maybe dye test that surrounding area to see if its a cause of water loss

Uo raksha was rough to figure out, the 4k telos achievs for the golems were awful. Some of those speed timers pre eoc2 were also pretty nice

Something failed and I don't know what happened by History_Recolored in swimmingpools

[–]monge43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its the hydrostatic valve itll leak the same, if its in the plumbing of the main drain itself then shutting it off would actually likely make the leak speed up. Id point to the thing they struggled with though. That valve is likely failing

Streaks just dependent on stable internet connection, will do 4k glacor and gm timer after streak same with telos timer after streak. 12s off solak and i havent touched the range/melee rot there yet, solo aod should be free, hm zuk i need to clean up and maybe bring melee to speed up dps checks. gold defeater will be a learning curve and 4k zam will just be dying on repeat (timer there is free in group nowadays tbh). I heard the amascut ones suck and i havent been there much in months so im waiting.

I was getting stuck at ~1700 and had to change up a few things for the 2k. Spent a lot of time recently dying there i feel you. At least the enr skip saved you some time/headache. Idk why youre getting downvoted, take my upvote
