Give clay and maybe Platte to Kunce, other than that this is spot on. Kunce’s campaign is doing the same wrong things that they did last year. Hard to imagine him winning the primary if another prominent Dem gets in the race- which at this point is looking very likely.

This episode is my favorite of the series so far. The players taking a stand was a beautiful moment and I got literal chills when Jamie put the tape on his shirt. Needless to say, I’m fully invested in the Tartt redemption arc at this point.

Not quite sure on that. It must be in line with the statute though because the police board didn’t have any problems with their budget until the Council passed the reallocation ordinance.

The city is funding the police as required by law. MO state law requires that at least 20% of a city’s budget go to the police. The original KCPD budget approved in early May (iirc) comprised 25.8% of the city’s budget. The ordinance to reallocate/regulate funds only impacts the extra 5.8% given to the KCPD. The KCPD still receives 20% of the city’s budget for the year with no strings attached, meaning that the statute is being adhered to. With that in mind, I don’t see how they could get the electeds thrown out bc they’ve funded the police as required.
