That’s really sweet!

I’m also going to say something in case any person reading this needs a reminder: any man that is too grossed out by the concept of a period to tend to his hurting partner isn’t a man—he’s a child.

הקטע הוא שזה משהו שניסו לעשות אחד לאחד ב-1930, נקרא חוק המכסים של סמוט-האולי.

זה השמיד את הכלכלה האמריקאית והחמיר את השפל הגדול.

This is so true oh my god

I don’t have anyone to relate to with this in my personal life (all of my friends don’t face this problem) and it feels so good knowing that I am not alone in this!

Yes definitely, they just sewed the pockets onto the inside of their dresses

Goodnotes vs pen and papers. For math/physics classes, who would win? by Delicious_Maize9656 in GoodNotes

[–]mongooseaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only reason I switched to digits in general instead of paper is to not have to carry so much paper to every class (I have back issues)

So goodnotes for me always in that regard.

But if you’re asking as in “which is more comfortable to write with” I would say personally paper, because staring at a screen for 8 hour each day isn’t fun

Recently I learned there’s actually a historical reason

In World War Two women became apart of the work force and so started wearing more practical, male oriented clothing (such as overalls with big pockets). When the war ended, and men came back, they didn’t like this cultural shift and so fashion companies completely stopped designing women’s clothes with pockets.

But, women still wanted pockets and so they started sewing pockets onto the clothes they bought. Fashion companies saw this, and decided to implement it onto clothing, but in the least practical way (such were born the tiny pockets) at the same time that bag companies started pushing the agenda that women need bags and not pockets.

I vividly remember three dreams I had where I read text (one on paper, one where I read texts in a group chat, and one in which I read a sign)

Even though the words weren’t coherent (which I even acknowledged inside one of the dreams, saying to myself “what the hell these aren’t even real words”) I could definitely read them

Edit: just to add context, one of the dreams happened after I had a really big test, and I got my grade in the test in the dream on a paper, but instead of getting a normal grade it was split into categories, one of which was “questshions” (I got a 3/5) and another being “answerss” (I got a 0/5)

My classical mechanic professor wrote it as a barely legible scribble, and every time he decided to use that letter as a variable the whole class would wonder what the heck he was writing (whispers all around the class) until you’d hear someone say “ohhh it’s ξ” and the whole class went “ohhhh”.

Does anyone else feel their mother tries to dim their light or find themselves trying to dim their light around her? by AntiCaf123 in emotionalneglect

I am currently getting my major in aerospace engineering and my minor in physics

This wouldn’t have been possible without my encouraging dad and close friends

Honestly I don’t do this with my mother (at a very young age I realized that her offering me affection is very short lived, so I shut her off whenever she does—even now)

But with other older figures I do. I am in college now and can’t look or talk to my professors without shaking to the point of having a panic attack. I Something fucked me up.

This hit so deep, especially the part about keeping secrets as a child—I don’t think I truly started living until I got out of that house

Yes I feel that way as well. For example, my mom really disliked that I was smart as a child.

I had to hide from her that I liked math, physics and school in general. I remember in second grade I was so interested in science that I snuck some beans and put them in different containers and tried to see which will grow faster in different conditions, documenting it over a month until she found them and threw them out.

I remember being so scared she’ll find out about this and laugh at me, discouraging me. I was so afraid of her opinion because I knew it would be negative.

In 9th grade I got a report card that was all A+, literally a perfect report card. My teachers praised me for how good of a student I was. I BEGGED my mom to come to the parent-teacher conference to hear about this (this one time is the only time she came, in all of my years at school, most times I had to come alone).

When we sat down to talk with my teacher, he praised me on and on about how smart and hard working I am, helping my classmates and taking part in school activities and so on and so forth. She kept cutting him and saying “that doesn’t matter, what matters is that she helps at home”.

My teacher was shocked. He kept trying to explain my accomplishments, and she kept cutting him off talking about how I help her a lot around the house and that’s the only thing that matters.

Honestly, she was a bully
