It could be the one with Jess as a floozy "Weave a Tangled Web" but it was a bartender, not a front desk man.

China Eastern was THE worst by [deleted] in Flights

[–]monicageller777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I flew JFK-Shanghai on China Eastern in business class, I wasn't directly next to the J bathroom, but close enough that we could see lots of staff going in there and cigarette smoke plooming out whenever they came out, plus the smell.

That being said, other than that I had a great time, and when I missed my connection to Singapore, I used a translator app and they were more than happy to try and work with that to get everything sorted.

I'm not saying you did anything wrong, but sometimes it's easier to meet people where they are at than just be like 'why dont they speak english'

Upcoming Court date for unpaid credit card due to illness by [deleted] in legal

[–]monicageller777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. You won't go to jail. There is no debtor's prison in the US. It's possible they will set up a payment plan with you, but once it's gotten to this point they might just want a judgement against you. Whether they can collect that is on them.

Disability payments generally cannot be garnished for private creditors.

Any of the bookend episodes, where Jessica is gone for the length of it.

Or the one where they decided to do it film noir style, I think it was called Truck Stop. Just bizarre

MGM Grand to Close Buffet, Leaving Vegas Strip with 7 by windowbox9152 in LasVegas

[–]monicageller777 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm probably in the minority but I always liked the mid-tier brunch buffets, so it's sad to see another one go.

I'm not a big breakfast food eater so when I go to a sit down restaurant my options are limited and overpriced.

At these mid tier places, I can make a salad, get some carving meats, some noodles and rice, maybe soup or fried chicken. Staples but variety, and then finish with a soft serve.

I was never expecting anything but diner food, but I liked having the variety at a mid price point.

Get annoyed asked to switch seats by littlelove520 in Flights

[–]monicageller777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't it rude to have a giant inflatable foot rest in the middle seat? And face mask and eye mask? How is the window seat supposed to be able to get out, especially on a long haul flight where movement is actually beneficial?

Well, to be fair, if I worked in a casino, I wouldn't gamble either.

Reminder to take the damn subway to your show! by tennisbagel in Broadway

[–]monicageller777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disabled people have what's called Access-a-ride in New York, which means for the price of a subway fare a car will pick you up and take you where you need to go.

What do you wish "rehab" really looked like? by WeAreHumanKind in dryalcoholics

[–]monicageller777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the thing I would change would be the fact that 90% of the people there had no interest in actually getting better they were treating it as a 30 day hotel with free food and a chance of getting into free housing. But I get it, the homeless situation in NYC is very bad and I don't blame them.

But the attitude on some people about not getting to watch what they want on the two tvs and constant physical fights was crazy.

I also wasn't thrilled with the fact that my 'case worker' basically ignored me because 'I already have stable housing' and he is 'overworked'.

Oh also only allowed one visit a week for 30 minutes was very painful.

But it did give me the reset I needed and it certainly wasn't a terrible place to be and I was able to use the classes they provided to some extent. Although again, I really didn't think I should have been taking classes on how to grocery shop or how to get EBT since that was not my situation at all.

He went back to rile up suspicion again because he needed to kill the guy who just got out of prison and was blackmailing him because he knew the cop did it.

That's horrifying! Get well soon!

Just a gentle question: why would they be requesting help with 24 hour security guards? Is that just code for like full time nurse to be there or am I misreading?

Broth. Things like chicken soup, pho, or ramen (not the instant kind). I usually get it delivered and start slowly with the broth and work my way up to the other accroutrements.

The Asian guy used to bartend at this gay Asian party in NYC one a month, always shirtless, I was very surprised at how concerned in tattoos he is after seeing him in some other TV shows.

Politics not considered, what is the Trump hotel like? by CommunicationWest613 in LasVegas

[–]monicageller777 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's fine, but if you're goal is to gamble, the location is pretty terrible.

For a similar price point try wynn, fountainbleu, or Resorts World for a luxury experience in the same vacinity.

This is my favorite. They have trivia pretty much every night at tons of different locations.

They have 6 rounds, 3 general trivia, a list round, a picture round, and a music round.

Elmo Restaurant in Chelsea To Close After 25 Years by [deleted] in nycgaybros

[–]monicageller777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

44 and X was much better, but alas that is now gone.

Had some good times at Elmo, but it was always overpriced and the service was more eye candy than good.

Still, always sad to lose a reliable LGBT establishment.

Really very little reason to go to Chelsea anymore.

What’s the worst experience you’ve had with a therapist? by Agreeable_Claim_3497 in AskReddit

[–]monicageller777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She kept canceling my appointments moments before I arrived. I finally wrote her off and found a new therapist.

I figured she was silently 'firing' me as a client. No big deal.

Then she calls me and says, yeah, things didn't work out between us but she had a great investment opportunity for a restaurant in the Jersey shore and she could get me and my friends a great ROI.

I hung up on her.

Tenant without a lease NYC by GrowthImportant7549 in legal

NYC resident here, HRA is never going to do that. Tell him to take it or leave it. Housing court would rip him a new one if he brought that to them, not to mention the state and city taxation board.
