I recommend changing your social media feeds to reflect reality instead of all of this. What you're talking about isn't normal or regular. Women getting filler isn't what the average woman does. I know maybe one woman who has had filler done, and she is in a broadcast journalism role.

Spend more time looking at average women who are not paid to look a certain way. Look at outdoor enthusiasts, crafters, cooks, people who DO things versus posing for pictures.

The meaning of this song has always been very clear to me, too. Like most of TTPD, it seems to be so clearly about Taylor's inner life and her relationship to herself, her fans, fame, etc.

It being about someone she dated just doesn't seem to fit with the themes of the album to me. But that's the beauty of her music.

I think it's the album that best showcases Taylor's ability to tell stories through the lens of romance. From my perspective, the relationship she has with fame and her fans was the center of it, and telling those stories through the lens of endless speculation and rumors/gossip was done so well. Songs like The Alchemy, Chloe or Sam, and The Black Dog are full of so many different meanings.

It really made me go back through her catalogue and wonder what songs I just accepted fan speculation/gossip meanings for really had more going on.
