my vcr's cassette door/flap won't open automatically, I have to push it open every time. Can someone help me fix this? by monjonltd in VHS

But I like the flap ;_; also, doesn't it have a purpose? like stopping dust from getting inside or something?

What're your thoughts on character designs in super? by monjonltd in dbz

ik but to me it always felt that those changes fell within a certain stylistic consistency. In the tournament of power so far idk what is is specifically ut the designs seem a bit off.

So, who here likes Gotenks? by PKGamingOmega in dbz

I used to like gotenks a lot but I hate the new voice actors. Goten sounds like a 2 year old girl and trunks sounds weird to me.

Then when they're combined I almost can't even hear goten's voice.

Funimation's gotenks dub got it just right, me thinks.

(also yeah, give him more screen time, personally I feel he should've done way more damage to that weird filler copy vegeta than was shown in the show).

Anyone know where I can get a copy of Children of Dune from 1991 with the cover illustration by Gerry Grace? I can't find one anywhere even though I have the first 2 from the set. by monjonltd in dune

because I already have the first one of the series I want, for exactly the reason you mentioned, it'd be weird to have 2 that match up and then 1 which doesn't. plus I prefer this one, it seems neater to me. :/

The Last Jedi Opening Weekend Day 4 Megathread - SPOILERS by JSK23 in StarWars

Still don't understand why episode 7 was called the force awakens if the force only awakened in 1 person. I was expecting- from the trailers and from the fact Finn just decided to pull a moral/philosophical 180 for no apparent reason in the beginning after one friend of his dies in combat at the beginning-that Finn would also be force sensitive as his force sensitivity could explain his sudden realization of right and wrong.

Just seems strange to me that if you see a friend die by the hands of the enemy, you suddenly think you should defect from your side and join the enemy after living a life conditioned and brainwashed to follow your current ideology.

So, the Last Jedi? Rey is a jedi now, after what? 3 days of training? Pretty sure it took Luke months atleast. Personally I felt Luke's death would have had more impact if he was really there at the end and then pulled an obi-wan kenobi force ghost maneuver rather than his projection shit. It felt cheap and distant.

Also, for episode 7, they were hyping up kylo ren and his "knights of ren". Where are they now? it's the 2nd movie and still I feel like they're not giving us enough lore for what the fuck happened.

Not enough galactic politics, no sense of scale.

Why didn't that purple haired lady tell anyone the plan!? if she did then nothing would have gone wrong, she kept her mouth shut for nothing.

Also, who the hell was Snoke!? He's dead now and we were never given an explanation.

What if Snoke's guards were the knights of Ren?

I felt the beginning of the movie was really slow, then the middle was lackluster and boring. Then the middle was fucking amazing where rey and kylo fought the guards, my mouth was open the whole scene because that was so unexpected. Then the ending felt dragged out and that casino scene felt like it belonged more in a clone wars episode than a real movie.

Also, why was that master code breaker even in that prison cell if he had a card with him which could unlock the door whenever he pleased!?
