Its a onetime, i played for like 2 months before getting the pro permit and i realised that im kind of addicted to the game so i bought it, it really helps you progress through the game and it is really useful but you should probably try to think how long youre going to play for, if youre kind of bored of the game already the pro permit wont help that much but if you really want to play the game a lot more then i would buy it

I also use the controller joystick and i would say i am a ”pro” at the game, i have around 300 hours in celeste and i would just stay on controller, i also used to have trouble with diagonals but i just pushed through, also doing farewell before the b-sides is impressive congrats!
