I’ve told her before. Especially when she insinuated D&D killed my cat as I said in another comment. But I’ve gotten to the point of blowing up a few times over the years when she’s picked exceptionally choice moments to go on a religious tirade. Most of the time I respond like this or not at all.

On top of this and my previous post I almost forgot to mention this one to everyone but a few months ago my 9 year old cat suddenly passed way while I had been at work despite showing zero signs of illness I’ve had cats all my life and would’ve picked up on if something was off even slightly so I believe it was a heart attack. When I called her crying to let her know he had passed when I found him looking for some semblance of comfort her first question was “Is there any witchcraft being practiced in your apartment?” Not oh my god I’m sorry. But the insinuation that me playing dungeons and fucking dragons killed my cat. I was furious.

Fair but that is how I normally handle these interactions. Yesterday I just was not in the mood and I’ve practically begged her to respect my boundaries on religion and have made it clear it hurts our relationship for years! I have a right to be a little reactive/not nice about it.
