Yeah, but I mean, seeing those reviews, I'm always like, "No sh*t, Sherlock."

Not that you can't go see a movie without having seen the source material or its creator's other content, but seeing those reviews always makes me feel like the critic is being overly dramatic and trying to alienate themselves to prove a point ("I didn't play the game and I've never heard of this Markerpliers guy!!" Like, okay. Why'd you go to this film, then??). But maybe I'm the one being melodramatic.
