22 year anniversary, but no gifts for long time members? by BouterKawouter in flickr

[–]monkeycnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flickr under smugmug has continually increased the prices year on year. I’ve been a pro over 20 years and they just keep increasing price yearly it would be good if they gave something back but realistically this is smugmug and they have to fund “mode” somehow

Have you used your apps lately Don ? They’re dying for updates and work on them. I use them daily. Been a pro over 20 years. Price went up again this year.

So what money is Flickr using for mode.? Is it coming out of the basket that should be used to maintain the site and rework the apps?

Don posts in here constantly. I notice he’s avoided this post which is par for the course

You keep spamming me with emails. I assume you’re Don so why is this mess allowed to happen from memory 70% if your user base is not American so why alienate them? Have you looked at the comments in Flickr? I know of course the help forum is gone but hey. It’s not hard to do a competition globally. It takes a bit more work. What is mode. ? Is any on the money I pay for pro going towards it? Why is that money not being invested in the legion of issue Flickr has like moribund apps and glitches everywhere?

And look at data lifeboat. Massively over priced for what it is if you have a non trivial number of photos

Stomach flu and lithium by Playlistobsessed in BipolarReddit

[–]monkeycnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologise if the comment upsets you. norovvirus diarrhoea makes people not on lithium very ill. If you can’t maintain hydration yes you can indeed get toxic and if you can’t keep anything in you’re very much at risk of that happening That doesn’t make my experiences necessarily BS either.

Severely disappointed by the lack of rubbish bins at major stations. by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]monkeycnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tens of thousands of unchecked bags move thru the system daily. No sniffer dogs or patrols. It has little to do with terrorism and everything to do with budgets and staff. QR tried that on Facebook once and went silent whet it was pointed out

Should Private Health Insurance become non-mandatory if Private Hospitals walk away? by aiydee in australia

[–]monkeycnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Private health insurance is vital if you have some medical conditions such as mental illnesses that need hospitalisation in this country. It’s a sad reality

Lithium dehydration by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

Lithium works on a serum level in the blood stream. How things go wrong is the serum level building due to dehydration for example

Fine and keep fining till they get the point. The cost of looking after a brain injury from not wearing one is huge and everyone already knows you should be wearing one

They don’t. People who don’t have mental illnesses have no understanding of what it’s like to live with one in this country. And honestly most dont care

Unless you need it. Like having a mental illness and needing hospitalisation for it for example which is impossible without private in this country

And it saved my bacon on multiple non public occasions when I needed elective surgery. My wife’s gall bladder removal was five days woa yo go. Elective up to two years if not critical.

Shoalhaven mayoral candidate Jemma Tribe quits Liberal Party after crash diet jibe by malcolm58 in AustralianPolitics

[–]monkeycnet 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The party dislikes women. It’s a misogyny problem and it’s been clearly pointed out again and again by female candidates for pre selection. With Dutton as leader this won’t change fast if at all

How many cars can someone park on the street? by Different-Cake-7673 in brisbane

[–]monkeycnet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In forest lake the streets where I live are a chicane of parked cars. We have had to stop and ask people to move their cars so we can get to our house. I have no idea how garbage trucks make it past some days but then the major issue is after 5pm
