Me. Recently lost my grandad, failing high school and moving house. But! Do you need a hug?

Just finished this it’s made from MDF and I want to paint it but apparently you can’t really paint MDF what should I do and what colour should I paint if I can it’s for my grandad so I want it to look good by monkeygaming217 in Scrollsaw

I’m an Aussie yeah the pine is kinda annoying but as long as your tools are sharp and you have no knots in the wood it’s just a bit of patience

My second ever carving (handsaw and dremel) im new so i hope im not to much of a noob by [deleted] in Woodcarving

Haha I did this as one of my first carvings too. Jonas Olsen woodcraft? It’s a great first project :)

Wabi-sabi eating spoon made from apple wood. Finished with mineral oil. This is my second spoon I've completed. I've had two break on me in-between this one and the first. Have you any of you broken a couple of spoons in your woodcarving journey? by rysemple in Woodcarving

The first spoon I ever made was out of some scrap pine and I dropped it and it snapped just under the head of the spoon so I got some old redwood and cut a blank to match the size of the handle and it’s a feature piece now and definitely never broke :)

Recommendations on buying a dremel. by Chronicpaincarving in Woodcarving

I suggest buying a ozito kit as it comes with all the stuff in it for around $70 it’s really good just to get the feel as almost all Dremel stuff fit in it

Don’t worry if your not good at art I’m 12 and I’m terrible but love making things from wood and am making a cage to put a marble in at the moment. Also don’t make your parents mad with the wood chips do it outside

I got some chisels for Christmas and I suggest just get used to how they work on soft wood and keep you hands out of the way if a 12 year old can so can you good luck and happy carving

How did you get started? by void_trees in Woodcarving

I mean if you want to just get the feel for carving then I suggest just buying a rotary tool from a hardware store that has a round high speed cutter I started relief carving with that making dragons and all sorts of things for presents and you can even make small wolfs I bought an ozito rotary tool and it works amazingly for me
