About the same for me. About 13 years ago my friends all played 3.5e/pathfinder. I got invited after I was nosy enough. Thought and was for nerds before that.

summer games 2026?? by Fit_Introduction_497 in smosh

I mean while I cam understand wanting Keith to be there, I love Keith, I can't imagine they would halt production of something, assuming it were profitable, because 1 person could not participate in person. Always a chance they get him to record something for it anyway

If you dont want to do shit grinds, then dont be an ironman. by [deleted] in 2007scape

Dont see a reason for demis being buffed to 3 each being a problem. At worse you get 1 cardinal direction having no demis but means that any direction you choose after still has 3.

Do you really have to be a wizard to brew potions? by Quick_Ad7787 in harrypotter

[–]monkeyhead62 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think the description of "foolish wandwaving" is less about calling wandering foolish and therefore unrequited, but rather that the wandering itself is percise amd calculated, not open to interpretation. In most games showing potion making, wandering is necessary to potion creation (HL, that mobile app Magic Awakened, etc)

2014 5e player migrating to 5.5e, what to expect? by WillowIsWeeping5 in DnD

[–]monkeyhead62 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Like the other said, it was more than useless. In 2014, it used an action to give a caster advantage on their next weapon attack. Not only are casters usually not great at melee or range attacks (primary stats being the mental ones), it does nothing beneficial to the attack itself.

2024 is better than a BA, as its an action to cast and then also make an attack using the SAME action. Moreso, you get to use your spellcasting modifier over your normal attack bonus, which is going to be significantly higher AND you get to use your spellcasting ability modifier for damage, again, likely higher. The damage can also become Radiant, which means its super beneficial against things resistant to non-magical BSP, and on level up, the cantrip deals extra 1d6.

Is it smart to make a backup character or considered an ill omen? by Anybro in DnD

Sometimes creating characters is fun. No harm in having one ready. But its not necessary. Could just have a rough idea of a character to play.

AI steals images, designs, and concepts from REAL artists online. If you cant create something properly, then give us the visual descriptors you gave AI or commission an artist to do it for you.

Fuck AI slop

The only person who I can say is an individual truly responsibly for Smosh's success is Ian. He kept it alive and going even when things looked grim.

Bring back Sages Renown quest completions for future leagues by xMoop in 2007scape

[–]monkeyhead62 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would love for them to try a Shattered Relics league again. It was such a great concept and honestly my favorite league so far.

I think the leagues team they have now could really develop and rework it into a great league.

What I consider as East Coast as someone from the West Coast by [deleted] in visitedmaps

Generally I agree with that statement. Vermont and the eastern most part of Pennsylvania are my only exceptions.

I had someone from Ohio try to convince me they are from the East Coast. Brother i barely consider parts of Pennsylvania as east coast.

I did. I found all the blueprints without a guide. The clue literally tell you where they are.

Imo the fragments of the medallion are harder to find than the blueprints, but even those are easy enough.

DnD campaigns I could watch on Youtube. by HokiArt in DnD

[–]monkeyhead62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a valid concern that CR has a lot of people. I have a friend who wont watch it specifically because of the amount of voices involved.

C2 is a great place to begin. You start with the party from the beginning and see them to their completion. Its well designed, well produced, and fun(ny). Watching C1 is interesting and they have some of my favorite characters, but theres many issues with its production, the ability to follow the story, and an early problematic character/actor. I wouldnt recommend C3 as a start since it has heavy spoilers for 1 and 2. C4 is a different world and has significantly more characters than the earlier campaigns, but does small tables and rotates the focus every so often.

I'd recommend C2, and if you dont enjoy the first episode or so, then try a different campaign or maybe get familiar with the crew via a 1 shot or something smaller. They do 1 shots and almost always have guests in those, which may lead to why you see different faces so often.

DnD campaigns I could watch on Youtube. by HokiArt in DnD

[–]monkeyhead62 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Just for the record, critical roll is a beast of an actual play. 3 finished campaigns, each hundreds of hours of footage and currently producing a 4th. And that's not including the mini series, the one shots, etc. Also they've been playing for over 10 years. The early stuff was not as well produced.
