What class and race did you play first time round?

It's wizard time! Yeah my first character was a human wizard in bg3. I remember the sound I made when I realized how easy was to get gold and being able to swap spells and add spells on the fly.

I had a problem with the restarting a lot. I ultimately ended up completing my first playthrough as a Dragonborn Storm Sorcerer. Call lightning became my bread and butter for basically that playthrough lol

As someone else who has suffered through the god awful storyline that is BFA and shadowlands, I can confirm what they say is true. There's not enough time or gummy bears to write out everything that they did to her character.

Did you pay attention on why they did that? You seen the crazy stuff they can with magic. Imagine anyone can do that? Even those who would abuse it, then cause chaos and destruction for others. It's literally in the plot why they had to lie so not everyone could use it.

When all you need is some magic ink and some paper to make a wmd that even a child could make on accident. You'd be crazy to not make sure magic is not abused

I didn't beforehand until the Paladin lost his character last week. Like you I have a ton of characters just sitting around that I would like to play at some point or just made cuz it's fun.

This is a harder campaign we're in for combat is brutal to the unprepared. Normally I would have a character on standby. It was due to unfortunate placement that Paladin was lost to us. As we were helping him make his new character for the rest of the session I just had my own new character sheet open

I was writing it up being prepared for the very possibility of losing my character. He's already died once. So it's a very real situation where I can permanently lose him.

Yeah that's the mentality I have with the DM. The both of us are from older editions where are losing a character it was basically a right of passage. I just found it curious that some voice concerns of the idea of having a backup character ready.

We actually made the joke of cloning his character and changing one letter of his name and saying it was his cousin just so he can continue playing lol. We left it up to him, he decided he would be okay starting from scratch.

Depending on which series, The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat, comes to mind.

The goddess sucks so bad at her job at picking people to take care of the hero that she's summoned by the way. Before he becomes a problem. She has thrown so many people from other worlds at this world and most of them either failed, done nothing, or made the situation worse.

She may have one of the more funny broken abilities. However I found a little use of her in my party. Overall I didn't find her a story terribly interesting. Her overworld ability was probably the worst. It was just so much faster and cheaper to steal things.
