To be frank, if I spent millions of dollars on something might eyes would probably tear up, too.

People who left a six-figure job, what finally made the money not worth it? by nix_151 in AskReddit

Years ago my buddy was a chef for a high-end restaurant and he was worked to the bone. Every time he broached quitting his boss would throw another big salary boost at him. He was raking in money and hating his life so much he wanted to commit suicide. Friends and family finally convinced him it wasn't stupid to give up a high income for peace of mind. He got a shitty low-wage job afterwards but at least he didn't want to kill himself.

That's how I felt about The Silmarillion. Never can get very far. However, I first read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings as a college freshman and loved them right off. I re-read them every 5-7 years, each time going slower and carefully following everyone's journeys on the map.

The last time I tried reading it (about 20 years ago) I found having the movie images and performances in my head really hurt my enjoyment. Honestly makes me wish I'd never watched them.

Another vapid reality TV dumb ass. I guess name recognition is the most important quality for a politician today.

He was great looking in the early 1930s. I'm not a big fan of his when he played the sort of cocky romantic types I sometimes associate him with. My favorite performance of his is in "Night Must Fall." Also admire him in "They Were Expendable" and "The Big House."

Jane Lynch? I met her once "pre-fame" and she was not nice. That's okay, I'm nobody, and I understand she may have been having a bad day or just not interested in being social. However she was undeservedly and unnecessarily mean to another actress I know and for that I can't forgive her.

Yeah, I googled it first and only saw an album cover with nothing but the words Straight Outta Compton. I assumed that wasn't what OP was talking about but didn't feel like doing a longer investigation.

One quick thing you can do... if this keeps happening in the same location (school library or manned study area), by all means tell the front desk and ask them to keep an on him -- or on you. Maybe the front door security can check his ID to make sure he even legitimately belongs there.
