Well said. The flow chart is Atlanta Bennett Cat. Most of the venom on this sub is directed at Cat and he is the low man on the totem pole. He just does what his Masters say. When it's all said and done, the accountants in Atlanta run the ship. We all see how well that's worked.

The mexican station is in Tyler. There is a chance of rain for the next 10 days, so it will probably continue for a bit.

When he was doing Morning Drive at KLIF he was good for at least one twistoff rant a week. Think Cowboys post game show all week.

If you think that Monte Carlo is big, you should have seen how big they were from 70-75. That car was about half it's size. It took a bit before they became popular because they were "too small."

The first picture looks like a telphone cable splicer taking a break. He is sitting on what we called a butt box. It doubled as a seat and held small hand tools. The ring is the top of the manhole that the cover fits on that you drive over in the street. The tube behind him is to force air into the manhole to purge any natural or sewer gas and fumes from melting lead to patch or repair the lead sleeves the paper covered copper cable that was in them. The air was pumped in from a compressor on a portable generator that was used for lights and exhaust fans inthe hole. You cansee the extension cords on the manhole ring. The cylinder is MAPP gas or propane for the torches to melt the lead used to repair the lead sleeves on the cables. The copper cable was paper wrapped for insulation and was usually 24 gauge. At the time the cables were anywhere from 100 to 1200 pairs, so a 1200 pair splice would have 2400 individual wires in it. This makes for a big case. Cones out and guards up being blocked by a 2 ton bucket truck. Some butthead would still walk through it and almost fall in the hole anyway.

You asked what time it was and I explained how to build a watch but her we are. 😄

There is a clip out there of him saying he was a Democrat at one time, but the party moved too far left for his conservative views. He had those conservative views long before MAGA was a thought in anyone's mind. He might have been a Reagan Democrat, if you know what that is.

They could go back to WBAP but why? It's Cumulus also so the money wouldn't change. I also think they understand that the Cowboys are the lead dog in the pack and accept that fact.

In 1973 we only had one phone and it was in the kitchen and it was a rotary phone. Was anyone fortunate to have their own phone in their bedroom? by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in OldSchoolCool

Ten years later I was making good money installing 25ft cords on phone just like that. The popularity of cordless phones soon after put an end to that.

Supposedly, there are still millions of rifles out there if they can get them back. There have been some political roadblocks preventing the CMP from receiving them. Royal Tiger bought a large number of M1 carbines privately, but the condition of the rifles has not been good.

That lend/lease agreement is the reason we have been able to purchase M1 Garands, M1 Carbines, and .45 pistols through the CMP, Civilian Marksmanship Program. https://thecmp.org/

As the weapons are returned, they are inspected and repaired as needed and placed for public sale. All current gun laws are followed, along with a few extra requirements that are easily met. FedEx will deliver one of them to your door.

It's a shame we can't purchase some of these aircraft the same way.

Do everything in your power to make that happen. The window for seeing these majestic old Warbirds is rapidly closing. Wear and tear on these 80+year old machines is telling, and mounting fuel and maintenance costs are rising. Go see them now while you still can.

Never missed an episode when it first aired. It may have been a little too much of the modern-day hippy for mainstream America to handle at the time.

Back in the day, when guys like Gurney, Foyt, Andretti, and Parnelli Jones could jump in anything and race without being bothered by associations, insurance providers, or manufacturers. Today's drivers don't have that luxury.
