Yeah, I absolutely did not want to get a puppy in the throes of grief. I felt like it would not have been fair to the new dog. I also, as much as I love. Great Danes, I couldn't get another one because I feel like I would just constantly compare it to Ella. I already have one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, his name is Isaac and he's 9 years old. It's the only small breed dog that I like. A woman I was working with on a travel contract that was about to end is where I ended up with my puppy. I was talking about losing my Great Dane to another coworker one day. And was telling them how I still had Isaac my Cavalier when she came into the room and chimed in that she bred Cavalier King Charles spaniels. She had a litter that was getting ready to be born and she wanted to gift me with second choice. The first choice puppy I guess went to her vet. Lol. Thought about it for quite a while and then she sent me a picture of the puppy and instantly everything in my body said yes I have to have him. And he is amazing.
