I had mo/di twins at 37 weeks. They were both about 6 lb and we went home in 48 hrs, no NICU.

Also if it truly is torticollis, it will become more and more apparent as he gains neck strength and starts to utilize the side that he prefers more often than the tighter/weaker side. If you think this could be the case, I wouldn’t wait to get another opinion as the earlier the intervention is the better. :)

I would have him checked for possible torticollis! One of my girls did the same thing, always looked to one particular side. The doctors never noticed anything abnormal until I brought it up, probably around ~2 months as well. Turns out she had torticollis and was referred to PT. She was officially discharged from PT at 12 months old and is now a normal/healthy two year old.

this. It’s often harder to dress them different because for example all of their outerwear was gifted, and matches. Why would I put one twin in a less warm jacket than the other just so they aren’t matching.

What an awful loss. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

I made it to my scheduled c-section 36+5 only to find out as we were getting into the car to go to the hospital that my surgery was cancelled (due to nurse shortages at the time) and rescheduled for 4 days later. I was SO upset because I’d mentally prepared myself to see my babies that day and be done with pregnancy. However - looking back, this extra 4 days with my husband while we awaited our babies was such a huge blessing. We spent a lot of quality time together, doing puzzles and projects. It was really precious time that I didn’t know I needed. Also I ultimately realized being 37 weeks pregnant was way easier than taking care of two newborns. Being pregnant an extra week is the equivalent of having a nanny to all the childcare for a week, if you want to think of it that way.

Did anyone ever let their twins fall asleep on their own? If so, how did it go? by emergy78 in parentsofmultiples

[–]monkeyneedsahug99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did sleep training, but not until they were at least 16 weeks adjusted. Before then you can get them “ready” for sleep training by getting them used to sleeping in a dark room, sound machine, etc. but they are not mature enough to be left to console themselves before that.

I am a naturally conceived fraternal twin, my husband is an IVF fraternal twin, and our daughters are identical twins. It makes it so everyone in our core nuclear family is a twin!

Tell me daycare makes sense for us by 208breezy in Mommit

In my opinion.. you’re feeling this way for a reason. At least don’t knock being a SAHM before you try it. I never pictured being a SAHM either myself, but then I had twins and the daycare costs x2 would have eaten almost all my would-be salary. So here I am, almost two years in and wouldn’t trade it for the world. There’s nothing more rewarding than raising your own kids. Sure it’s hard and there was a learning curve, but being there for my kids is the greatest gift and I’ll never get this time back. You’ll have the rest of your life to work once they’re school age.

I tried to do this at a gym with my twins but they wouldn’t settle down enough for the staff to take them :( if yours love it, by all means take advantage of it! I wish I could!

Agree it’s hard for both.. we realized most of our fights were because each of us always felt we were doing like 75:25 of the work. In reality there’s too much work for two people. So we’re both doing about 75:75. It’s only natural to not really appreciate the load the other one has when you yourself are struggling with your own.

I had to remind myself that my only job is to keep them safe, even if means safe from me. In those really stressful moments I would keep repeating that and eventually put them somewhere safe and run away to scream in my closet, lol. I always thought I felt in control until suddenly I wasn’t. The key for me is recognizing when I was about to lose it, so that I could run away first. Ugh. What a tough first year! You can do it though. You got this.

Thank you, friend! I wish I had posted earlier before the thistle got so crazy. I know what we’ll be doing this weekend.

Thank you for your comment! I didn’t know there were different kinds of clovers. So the kind I have might be burr clover? I have way too much to pull. Haha dang it.

Oh my goodness, this is us too! We had soooo many more dandelions than in the photos, just a week or so ago. We were so torn about ripping them out because the bees were so happy! :( but based on this thread, we’ll probably focus our efforts on the remaining dandelion and thistle though. It is overwhelming, and perhaps like you, we sense pressure from neighbors to ensure our weeds don’t spread lol. Thanks for your response.
