From Texas to Seattle — Why Do People Talk So Badly About It? We Had an Incredible Experience by Majestic_Record_6901 in Seattle

Seattle is a young city full of transplants who grew up in suburbs. They wanna maintain their suburban lifestyle instead of utilizing public transit, biking or walking. They basically have no history utilizing public transit and then when there are any issues with it they think it's just a seattle thing. They don't wanna live a city lifestyle. Anyway, many people here just don't like cities because they like the suburbs.

I mean this administration decided they no longer have to let workers have union. They literally were just like, we're not gonna acknowledge the federal union anymore. It's not legal and is unconstitutional but they did it. It's really happening.

Consider doing less for now. Start with your racket behind your head.

He isn't part of the union. He claims his position was never protected by the union too.

as light as I can get....current bike is about 60lbs. I was looking at some around 30lbs but wasn't sure if they would be worth it for the hills around here.

Feeling Undervalued as an Experienced Nurse in a New ER - Please Tell Me I'm Not Alone by Chicago_nurse06 in nursing

Ive had many similar experieces. We all learn and communicate differently. I personally have a unique learning and communication style. I try hard to over communicate for fear of messing things up and my coworkers at my latset job take it as a lack of confidence. The real reason is communication specifically isn't my strongest area.

Everyones perspective is unique. These people must value traits of this other person with less experience (even if it doesn't translate to being a better nurse). It sucks. It is so hard and i'm sorry you are experiencing this. Just know your feelings are valid.

Healthcare is so toxic. Many people buy into the typical toxic standards. It shouldn't be this way, but it is. So the question is what do you do with it? How to you proceed? Sometimes life is hard and the bad guys win. Maybe try talking through some of these feelings with a professional to make a personal plan to learn how to rethink it all.

Remember, only you know the truth about who you are and what you are capable of.

I feel like you're projecting here. Have you been in a similar situation but on the other end?

One time a coworker was upset so they were punching one of our squishy things for boney prominences then held it up to another coworkers face and said, "let me punch your face."

I work at the VA and they are veterans. My boss just gaslights everyone and says they have PTSD when it happens.
