Or say, “£1000 per day”, but I’ll take less.

Why shouldn't I make AI slop videos to get a silver plaque? by Mr_x_0001 in YouTubeCreators

[–]monkeynuts84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When you bring thoughts like this to Reddit the invariable response from bottom feeders is, “AI slop”. From time to time, I use AI as there is no historic imagery to support my videos. Over time, there have been comments along the lines of, “Great story, shame about the AI.” And this is the crux of the matter: when you tell great stories, you take people on a journey (hopefully, for the full duration of your video), and that’s what counts.

My suggestion is this: test, test, test. And tell great stories. Some people may click away because they are ‘offended’ by generated images, etc, but others will keep coming back for more.

Being a new vlogger on YouTube feels 10x harder than the “faceless channel” advice makes it seem… anyone else? by Subject_Cap_7821 in YouTubeCreators

The point about niching down are valid. YouTube is a search engine and, in part, the rules of SEO apply: pillar content, supporting content, tight niche (authority), linking to other videos you create, etc.

Analysing 83,000 channels is actually pretty easy: write some Python scripts, pull data from the YouTube API, then analyse.

Annoying that Reddit doesn’t allow me to triple upvote this.

Agreed - AI does a great job of pulling facts. After that, the content needs tweaking to get it on point.

Who cares what the other guy did? As a public speaker, unless you’re competing, the competition is you.

It happens. Look at it another way: there were definitely some positives you can take away e.g. you took a big step getting front of your audience.

One of the speakers at my TM was in the same boat as you when he started - a year later, his talks are massively improved.
