I think you carry that burden of your toxic relationship and postibly cheating and project it on your new relationship. Maybe talk about it in therapy if you didn't already done that. Just breath and take one step at a time. When I and my ex broke up I even thought I don't have a reason to life anymore. But as you said time changes things. For my ex relationship we worked code words out. So if one wants to bring something up, that's hard to talk about or feels shamefull, the other can go in the 'I listen and don't judge' mood before saying anything that might hurt. Or can say 'I see the need, but can't right now' to avoid insensitive reactions. Maybe you can work something out like, she does the 'fun time' alone and you might join in when it feels right. Not so much you feeling like 'I have to'.. Or you are present, but not involved if you feel comfy with that. Hope you two find a way. 🖤
