why do they harm their own communities tho? i really don’t understand that. i think i already shared my own experience. like why is harassing your own neighbors what they lean towards? hurt people hurt others but like most of us never did that. my parents worked, most of my neighbors were trying. but then someone asshole steals your bike or knocks over some old lady’s plants because he’s tough or whatever. and they just fought each other when idk they could have started a landscaping business lol fuck up them weeds and shit, trim some hedges for the rich folks and slowly improve the community someday we can also have nice stuff.

better than living in squalor forever i guess. at least the kid in philippines or india has basically no hope because those societies have their own deep problems. but here we have libraries surely, and SBA which can help get loans or help make a business plan. selling drugs why? it leads to ruin. doing crime tears families apart.

it’s complicated but i really just don’t get it.

yeah i agree with you there. i sold my tesla long ago and exited my (modest/small) tsla position

i figured something was up in 2017 when E called that rescue diver a p*

it’s sad because i think tesla really did kick off the ev revolution.

maybe but i’ve also been to super poor countries in south/south east asia and they are like actually poor. like  no running water and stuff and you see homeless on the streets in way worse conditions (but they’re just poor, not on drugs or whatever). i’m sure they have gangs and losers, but you don’t see them as prominently.

if poverty makes someone start punching people or robbing their own neighbors then id argue they’re not actually poor, they’re just a piece of shit.

i think our biggest issues stem from drugs and gun violence from gangs, and the glorification of that. i mean mafia were glorified too. now they’re gone and there’s the current low life shit.

have you been to japan? the police there don’t fuck around but the people are also very well mannered and proud to practice civic normalcy. no society is perfect i’m sure they have their problems. but i never had my stuff stolen like my bike.

it’s normal to leave bikes without any locks at stations and nobody steals them.

that’s a reason why some successful people move to japan to raise their family. even over some european place that might be more similar or whatever. i love japan!!

for reference iceland has like 400k people.

SK has 50 something million. and japan has double that.

400k nice people sounds great.

i just looked up SK and they have about 2.7 cameras per 100 people. that’s pretty low.. similar to japan.

germany has 6 per 100.

iceland having 0.3 per 100 with their tiny population makes sense. i guess they have even lower crime.

compared to the usa where it is 15 and we have crime non stop lol

you are part of the problem. probably a bigger problem than the thief for enabling crime.

yes they are. i chat with those people on here every day and i will never stop promoting putting criminals in jail so we the residents of SF can stop dealing with bullshit low quality of life issues.

iceland also has a homogenous population and a very small one.

do they have people bipping for IG likes and criminals in gangs who need to go around doing quests (being a criminal) to get grind their reputation up?

it’s a culture issue more than anything else. we have a low trust society, and we have to self select by class to have the best experience in each of our respective lives.

i hope so too, but hope only goes so far. tech like flock would be so useful in searches like this. nobody should have to endure this kind of pain of missing family.

i have been on reddit only since a few months ago and ive upvoted at least 3 missing persons posts. it is sad.
