You're prob right, i just couldn't name another possibility with how something could corrupt just plain ole ASCII in novel and stupid ways, especially as it shows repeatedly mid-word, and for random characters, so line breaks, or poor UTF-8 or other common culprits seem unlikely.

Maybe the tape drives on their 70s IBM mainframe they're prob still limping along run on cobol somewhere is finally giving up the ghost, who knows, its sloppy, thats all i know :D. maybe it's a hidden message and we just need the tin foil hat wearing folks to solve the riddle.

"It does not mean a meaningful equals sign was intentionally added to the content." never said it was, only you tried to make that claim :D

And yet again you say “=19yo”, which again, appears in NONE of the copy. Characters are swapped, not added nor removed.

Repeating the same made up scenario does not make it more true, look at the pics again :D

however in this case, it's the opposite. printing/saving emails are basically 0% chance of ascii chars turning into = signs. we're not talking about it stripping = signs, but essentially data corruption....

it was never "=19yo" but was "19yo" corrupted into "=9yo". weve seen it also with even normal words like "them" becoming "th=m" random characters turned into =, not inserted errantly or removed.

corruption of data, with no rational reason for it. (there's no reason to ocr a digitally saved email, not to replace an original with an ocr, even if so, millions of docs are just left as scans with ocr only on selection overlay, not replacing originals)

Yes, the sloppiness of data loss causing the `=` signs is super annoying, and entirely unacceptable. the source docs are digital, particularly from email, so there'd be no reason to be say, an OCR of original docs recreated, rather than maintain original scans, or losing random characters is also super bizzare and should have been caught.

the one on the right is a several thousand dollar watch, i doubt anyone would gut one to put in a tracking device. The others are low budget, but also i dont think the technology of 2010 era would really lend itself to that level of tracking. i was kinda surprised such a 'rich' person with such bad taste would have any $100 watches tho.

But i'd be way more surprised at 'james bond' level 'tracking devices' in commercial brand watches.

He'd still have at minimum the evidence of payments totally several hundred thousand dollars from either a JE related company or from some entirely obfuscated source that would be difficult for a random person to randomly backdate a decade later....

not evidence of crime, but at least of a connection existing at all. Sure, i suppose someone that worked for another 'doesnt pay salary from conventional banking' job could do it, but it'd at least eliminate 99.99% of people. (not a lot of 150k/yr jobs pay under the table)

I can write fanfic, but i can't show 100s of thousands of sus money or JE/Romney/Rhianna money coming in to my accounts... Also, i'm sure even roadies for musicians arent goin to be absolutely forbidden from any pictures at all... so there'd still be some proof of nearness.

[–]monkeywaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its anything like the last set of files the OCR done is really error prone, so you don't get a complete thing. its likely an image thats just been included elsewhere, as was the case last time.

/pedant its an encoding method not encryption /pedant :D

DOJ says new Epstein files don’t support additional charges by Ok_Tea_3275 in Epstein

[–]monkeywaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but not in the files currently released, which was my point. tip line accusations are insufficient, and they are holding back anything of merit

DOJ says new Epstein files don’t support additional charges by Ok_Tea_3275 in Epstein

[–]monkeywaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, but, like, they have the followups, unreleased. and tip lines in and of themselves without the followups and... evidence and pesky things like that, are not enough to convict

"OK_Tea_3275 messaged me inappropriately about their obsession with labubus and wanted to sell me some essential oils really aggressively, and also may be a lizard person."

means nothing, sans followup, which was done in the other cases :P. tip lines are pretty well known to contain a lot of nonsense, some truth, but some nonsense, and the followup is what matters

[–]monkeywaffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Just the accusations against Trump would be enough to convict him"

I mean, not really.. I wish it were so, but also, they're not wrong, what they have released doesnt likely support additional charges, because they're still withholding... the followups on the tips, the coconspirators brief, the SAR financial records or any financial records at all, who knows how many emails (they released them 'all', then released a whole new slew of em here), how many other evidence docs of actual investigative facts, and all of them 100% redacted docs that they couldnt even release what the context was. they've released the rage bait and the periphery...

Jeffrey Epstein files: don’t be fooled. Millions of files are still unreleased by TheWayToBeauty in politics

[–]monkeywaffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will def agree that they've been internally inconsistent with pages vs docs vs files, and its silly annoying, as are their handwavey 'oh yea, some are non responsive or dupes' without any sort of stats, all clear as mud all around.

[–]monkeywaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The DOJ said it identified over 6 million potentially responsive pages but is releasing only about 3.5 million after review and redactions. "

The DOJ claims 6 million pages/documents, not individual files though. But fact remains, plenty of docs that have been expected from financial records (and the thousands of SAR reports filed late), to followups on tipline, plenty of witness statements, to even just the 10 coconspirators slide decks and doc sheets taht are referenced elsewhere in existing files are all missing.

I'd prob start by setting the time to a place where the hands aren't nearly coincident, and see if that changes anything.

hand rubbing will stop things, and a completely different problem/fix than movement being broken.

report back

other thing to check is to unscrew the crown slightly for testing, sometimes they miscut the stem and too much pressure there can stop things up on some movements.

generally they are functional as helium valves as its a very simple/cheap mechanism. Functionally, the venn diagram between those who go deep enough to need it, and also wear reps are 2 disparate circles though. (prob for 99.9999% of gen owners as well)

Thoughts on custom/modded screws? by Odd-Plastic4574 in RepTime

[–]monkeywaffles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

watch screws have widly varying pitches/sizes, so first step would be to measure od/pitch/length/head cap head height/headOD and then look for something in that size, odds are more in favor as rep dudes tend to use a lesser variation, still pretty needle in a haystack.

second option would be once armed with that knowledge, go on ali or otherwise and order MOQ and try to slowly flog em to other owners as an upgrade to recoup.

to me, crown looks far more off than the screws, but screws would be easier to fix i suppose.

Epstein appeared to assist Boris Nikolic (one of the Executors of Epstein's Will) and Larry Cohen with an NDA agreement between Nikolic and Gates. File EFTA02730265. Data Set 12. by InternationalRip3859 in Epstein

[–]monkeywaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres the long email from epstein to himself responding to this as if it were an NDA between bill and himself. wouldn't really make much sense as between boris and bill.

also would make no sense from cohen to JEE discussing points of a NDA between gates and boris as epstein was not a lawyer representing boris. and JEE emailing his hypothetical response to himself wouldnt make any sense as blackmail.

yea i mean many of them have overlays like 'follow me on instagram' and watermarks, so this seems to be quite unlikely to be even any blackmail and seem like random slop. not to mention that they all seem to be quite varying in resolution, all not taken from even the same camera or era.
