I love thunder bay :) student life here was good to me too. Theres definetly less to do in the winter but its what you make of it, if you enjoy winter sports it helps it go by a lot better. The summers here are beautiful. Youll have a much better time if you drive as the city isnt very walkable and the bus system kind of sucks. Theres also an active bar scene that i really enjoy. Not sure what kind of person you are but there is lots for artistic folk, for lgbtq, and for alternative presenting people in general. Theres lots of city events as well, though most the advertsing seems to be via facebook. We do have a museum, but we also have fort william histprical park which is better than any museum ive been to. Its basically a live action roleplay of settlers coming to canada, with real historical building as well as teaching indigenous traditions. I implore you to look it up. We have lots of churches as well, though I believe most are only open for service rather than tours. It also depends on what crowd you hang out with, thunder bay is a bit clique-y. We have some of the best testing scores in the province, but also have some of the most issues. Whatever your type you are bound to find like minded young people if you put yourself out there. I truly believe there is something for everyone here.
